Police in Tokyo have arrested a 58-year-old man for attempting to conceal the death of his 73-year-old mother by submitting a fake change of residence notification.

According to Tokyo Metropolitan Police, Katsuyuki Kuroda filed a false change of residence notification at the Shibuya Ward Office in August 2011, Fuji TV reported. He falsely claimed that his mother Ryoko Kuroda, with whom he was living at the time, had relocated to Yokohama City.

Police said Ryoko died about 10 years ago. Kuroda has admitted to the allegations against him claiming, “I pretended that my mother was still alive.” He was quoted by police as saying he left the body at his residence until May 2011. After that, he told police he cut up the corpse and disposed of pieces of it in the river.

Police conducted a search Kuroda's Shibuya home and said they discovered human bones which they believe belonged to his mother.

Check the age difference...the mother was only 15 when she had her son - really? Wonder if the death was suspicious and if it can be properly investigated! Whatever, there have been a number of crimes committed here...

Probably not. Careful reading of the article reveals that the woman died "about" 10 years ago. Considering that you stop aging once you die, you can presume she was 73 years-old at the time of her death "about 10 years ago". She was probably 25 when she gave birth to this guy.
