Police in Ichikawa, Chiba Prefecture, have arrested a 36-year-old man on a charge of obstruction of business after he jumped onto the tracks and crawled under a train on Thursday.
According to police, the incident occurred at around 8 a.m. at Ichikawa-shiohama Station on the JR Keiyo Line, Fuji TV reported.
The man, Ryota Hata, who lives in Funabashi, Chiba Prefecture, crawled under a stationary train, causing train delays while station staff tried to get him to come back up onto the platform.
Eventually, Hata was pulled up forcibly by seven police officers. Police quoted Hata as saying he wanted to commit suicide.
JR East said services were delayed for 24 minutes, affecting 40 trains.

Crawling under a stopped train to end your life? Yeah, that'll do it!

However, he ended up only being an enfant terrible.

Come on guys. Attention seeking or not it was a cry for help. Suicide isn't something to be joking about.

If the trains here in Japan run like the subway system if he wanted to off himself they should have activated the third rail he would have got what he wanted real fast.
