Police in Yokohama have arrested a 52-year-old man on suspicion of drunken driving after his vehicle rear-ended another car that was stopped at a traffic light.
According to police, Yuji Hasegawa, a private school teacher, drove into the back of a car that was stopped at a red traffic light along a national route at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday. No one was hurt in the incident.
Police said Hasegawa has admitted to the charge and quoted him as saying he was returning from a convenience store where he had bought and consumed three or four 350-milliliter cans of chuhai.

I think this says more about life at his private school than anything else. Poor guy.

I get it but he should have consumed them at home.

I often grab some drinks from Yamaya on my way home, but I drink them after I arrive home and the car is in the garage.
I don't know how far away was his house, or how nagging his wife, but those cans of chuhai proved extremely expensive.

Wink, wink...

If he got the 9% alcohol ones, that is like drinking 6-8 beers!

Chu-hi is wicked stuff - half a can and I'm anyone's!
The fact that he cannot remember if he had three or four cans bears out my point.

The fact that someone tail ending a car after a few beers makes national news, delights me no end.
