Man arrested for exposing himself to woman says he has done it on at least 30 occasions

Police in Tokyo said Thursday that a 47-year-old man who has been arrested for exposing himself to a 22-year-old woman as she walked home, has admitted doing the same thing to other women on at least 30 occasions.

According to police, Junjiro Ishizaki, a caregiver at a nursing home for elderly residents, approached the woman, who is a university student, as she walked along a street at around 7 a.m. Wednesday near JR Kameari Station in Katsushika Ward, Sankei Shimbun reported. He dropped his pants, exposing his lower body.

Police have been patrolling the area following reports of similar incidents in the same area since early last month and an officer detained Ishizaki as he tried to get away.

Police said Ishizaki has admitted flashing young women on at least 30 occasions and quoted him as saying he did it to relieve the stress of his job and that he felt a sense of euphoria when he did it.

Perhaps he should do this in the porn industry and work for free if he feels it relieves his stress

Why tell the cops you've done it at least 30 times before??????

Most likely is they were in his face, consistanly until he said 'yes, I did it all'.

Whether he actually did do all the crimes is kind of irrelevant; the Police get to put a line through all those cases.

I heard about an older fellow, age 65, who is a flasher and said he would retire. But he changed his mind and decided to stick it out another year.

Is there any ladies pointing and laughing at you? This is a question must be asked by the police!

How stressful is the work of a caregiver at a nursing home for elderly residents? I will answer my own question: not very stressful. This freak is just making excuses for his perversion.

"a caregiver at a nursing home for elderly residents"

You got to be kidding....

"47-year-old man who has been arrested for exposing himself"

...

Wow another deranged maniac roaming the streets of Tokyo.

I learned from those who've experienced these things to laugh at them so they get embarrassed when they do so. Or better yet, give them a good punt to the crown jewels.

I often see this advice, and unfortunately it's not good advice. Laughing is exactly what many flashers want. Some thrive on the humiliation aspect. And attempting to kick one can lead to a violent reaction. Not wise for most women.

The best reaction is no reaction at all. Though the motivations differ, they are all looking for a reaction of some kind. Simply act like you didn't see a thing, and then simply call the police. Taking a picture is risky, as they may attack you trying to get the phone.

As for why people admit to all their past crimes to the cops, my guess is that police interrogators are very, very "persuasive" and their suspects eventually break down and say whatever they think their questioners want to hear.

... and quoted him as saying he did it to relieve the stress of his job and that he felt a sense of euphoria when he did it.

Good grief. There are other ways to decompress and relieve stress. This man needs counseling.

Give him a couple of years in jail. I’m sure he’ll get over his euphoria when he only has a bowl of cold rice to flash to in his prison cell.

I saw a Japanese guy going at it near a Koban the other day for all the world to see. Terrible.

It is terrible. During my first week of military recruit training, some other recruit did this to me and other fellow recruits. This was a man, doing it to other men.

if he is stressed from work its better to look for other way to get "euphoric",do some sports, run around house, buy bicycle, cook something at home etc ...there are many ways...this guy excuse is just weird for me sorry...

It might be the SHOCK factor. Some weirdos get their jollies shocking people all of a sudden. As for the flashing itself, it's bewildering and sick.

The ladies should laughs out loud rather than being frightened by these crazy people, just laughed and they will runaway in shame!

Hopefully someone laughed at his baby gherkin….

Some men do this because it is a lot easier than learning how to converse with women.

He "admitted doing the same thing to other women on at least 30 occasions to relieve the stress of his job"

Well if that dont beat all, for the life of Riley, and the forced fed image of Cesare Borgia, look out now one is headed your way at the nearest train station in Japan.

Why do people do this?

read the article

Why tell the cops you've done it at least 30 times before??????

if you read many peoples comments here, it is pretty much agreed that once you are arrested you will admit to everything

He works with vulnerable old people. This man is a predator and danger to women.

Euphoria is euphemism I have been hearing a lot lately.

Two real questions:

Why do people do this?

Why tell the cops you've done it at least 30 times before??????

I've been here almost 20 years, and I still don't understand why the Japanese do this. I'm still wondering about crimes like stealing bike seats, upskirt photos, and others that just go past me. Why do they tell the cops? I guess to try to bring down the 99.9% conviction rate in court.

Agree with the above why so easily admit to so many offences hoping the honesty gets a reduced sentence?

Must admit my work has been stressful recently not a way i thought of trying to relieve it different strokes and all that.

Or better yet, give them a good punt to the crown jewels. @Mat, on your first question, I think some people get a kick from doing obscene stuff like these, as the same way how some people get off by stealing women's shoes because it turns them on. On your second question, after being active on this news site for years, it still amazes me that perps like these admit their former crimes. Is it to lighten their sentence?
