Man arrested for fatally beating 3-month-old son in Miyagi

Police on Monday arrested a 29-year-old man for allegedly beating his 3-month-old son to death on Sunday night. According to police, Takaya Sato, 29, punched his son Ryuki several times in the stomach around 7 p.m. Sunday night. Police said Sato called an ambulance about four hours later but the boy died in the ambulance on the way to hospital.

Police said Ryuki died from severe abdominal bleeding. Sato lives with his wife and a 1-year-old daughter who were not home at the time. Sato initially told the ambulance crew that Ryuki had injured himself by falling off a chair. But doctors at the hospital called police. Sato has so far given no motive for the attack, police said Tuesday.

He probably works hours on end, sleep deprevation and stress..crying baby that wouldnt stop crying probably flipped the switch for him and then he..well you know the rest. I've kind lost the energy to judge what should happen to the man because that bit of news right there is yet another piece of shocking news straight out of Japan. 3 Months old....Oh my word.

Does law apply in such case in Japan and he will be released due to stress (excuses)or he will really be punished? Whatever you call he KILLED innocent creature born to guy like this and to die soon. Many people have problem to get a child, why are they given to mentally sick?

Most parents of babies born so close in age (in this case, born 9 months apart) experience extreme stress and sleep deprivation, but they push through the difficult times and would never harm their babies.

This is so sickening and sad.

I'm sure if he just says sorry he'll be ok. Oh no. That only works when politicians break the law.

Love to beat the crap out of this guy. I can not believe the amount of sick news like this coming out of Japan; even the world lately. Sometimes I think we all would be better off living as cavemen.

I've been thinking about that little child this morning at work..kinda cant get it off my mind today. I mean i've never even had a relationship with a girl..i'd be so proud to have a child of my own. Dammit why that man have to go and do that for! He will probably go to jail, i doubt he's mentally sick its more than likley he had a moment where he just switched. If anything he'll probably wake up to it all very soon. Its so nuts this happens in many countries around the world.

Mr. Sato needs to be jailed for a few years; probably won't. However, during Golden Week I saw a 10-year-old hit a 5-year-old (I'm assuming they're brothers). When dad found out, he, you guessed it, hit the 10-year-old. Now, where do you think the 10-year-old learned to hit? And where is the 5-year-old learning that might makes right? I'm going out on a limb here to say perhaps Mr. Sato learned that if you punch someone, they'll do what you want. Except if the 'someone' has just been born. In other words, Sato's an a*s and needs good jail term to think about it. At the very least his access to his 1-year-old should be limited to watching her from behind protective glass. Thick protective glass.

Again ??? What the hell is wrong with these people ! I'm with skipthesong on this:

"I can not believe the amount of sick news like this coming out of Japan"

Japan continues to swirl the toilet bowl of immoral behaviour and emotional bankruptcy ever since it's economy went south. I cannot believe the nation is so shallow. I guess I was wrong.

More evidence Japanese leads the world in family crimes.

Lock him up. Nothing more needs to be said. He is to stupid to be in society. Just let him rot.

instant visectomy for people like this.. then lock him up.

You meet some of the nicest people in the street and as far as I know one of them could be a stressed-out psycho! People here are beginning to lose it. Next thing you know they'll start going downtown on my stomach.

A heavier form of punishment for these crimes is necessary. The only people who need to worry about the death sentence are the people who commit these acts.

Very true beavis, there is a need for heavier punishments. Time for crime, life for life.

I can understand the baby got on his nerves (they certainly can...), but to punch a 3-months old is sick. Did this idiot never hear of ear plugs?
