Police in Kasuga, Fukuoka Prefecture, said Tuesday they have arrested a 51-year-old man on suspicion of killing a male acquaintance.

According to police, Yoshikazu Yanagi, who works as a caregiver, has admitted to stabbing his friend after they got into an argument while they were drinking at his apartment at around 4:30 p.m. Monday, Sankei Shimbun reported. Yanagi called 119 after the incident and his friend was taken to hospital where he died from stab wounds to his stomach at around 10:20 p.m. on Monday.

Police quoted Yanagi as saying he often drank with the victim, who was in his late 50s, but that recently he had been getting on his nerves and was acting in a high-handed manner.

The man murdered his friend with a knife. It was NOT an accident and using alcohol or COVID stress as an excuse is weakminded and foolish. Whats next? "Oh im so sorry I beat my wife/child/elderly parent to death while I was drunk and worried about a virus."?

Some buddy HE turned out to be, yeah! And he uses his drunkeness and CoVid-19 as an excuse. He lies about it too.

Put him in the can!

Purely a Senpai / Kōhai problem. The Senpai was acting in a high-handed manner and the Kōhai forgot himself .

Case solved . He'll do his time and retire with a small pension

“He did not refill my glass quickly enough!”

Although not my thing, there's something to be said for drinking alone or not drinking at all.

You rarely get that kind of behaviour with a good old blunt.

What happened to the era of bottom slaps with a wet towel in the shower or a blood nose behind the bike shed at school?

@ Do the hustle,

choosing your apartment wisely is of paramount importance also in Japan

there was a case, where an upstairs neighbor was dropping heavy boxes on the floor to disturb the tenant below. The individual would do this in the early morning, late night and randomly during the day. It literally drove the tenant below crazy. police were called numerous times, and told the tenant that if they did not have a recording , they couldn't do much. So investigate the new apartment thoroughly for kooks living around it, past suicides, murders, hauntings etc.

There have been a few cases matching this scenario in recent months. It would seem that choosing your drinking partner wisely is of paramount importance in Japan.

"My buddy pissed me off so I committed second degree murder."

HIS TWISTED REASON:

"recently he had been getting on his nerves and was acting in a high-handed manner."

" It was NOT an accident and using alcohol or COVID stress"

If you ever read any of the archived articles, and other websites you would be surprised that some of these excuses were actually used in the past. I could post the links but this site is strict.

He probably did't mean to murk, it was an accident and he was drunk, and probably lost his temper...as the coddlers would say..but Japan is still more peaceful than other countries, and with lower covid 19 count, among the JN only rise.

Well he was by definition drunk, almost certainly stressed at the thought of getting Corinavirus..

No point in even taking it to court.
