Man arrested for indecent exposure on train

Police in Yokohama have arrested a 22-year-old man on suspicion of indecent exposure after he undid his pants and exposed the lower half of his body to women on a train in July.

According to police, the incident occurred on a train on the Tokyu Toyoko Line between Kikuna and Yokohama stations at around 11:10 p.m. on July 6, Sankei Shimbun reported. Police said Kohei Yasuda, a company employee living in Yokohama’s Tsurumi Ward, has admitted to the charge.

Police said Yasuda exposed himself to women passengers for about five minutes. He held his briefcase at an angle so that only women directly in front of him could see lower body.

The next day, a woman passenger reported the incident to police at Yokohama Station. After an analysis of station surveillance camera footage, police were able to identify Yasuda this week.

I saw 4 drunk young men spray the yotsuya platform about 20+ yrs ago, they thought it was funny. I also saw a middle age man on a subway platform whip it out 20+ yrs ago to let loose in his urgency emergency. Alog time ago I saw one about 20+ yrs ago on a shinjuku train sprawled on the floor passed out letting his number 2 run out his pants

5 minutes is quite a long time, I wonder how many other passengers just pretended not to see anything.

I would be not surprising that this was not his first offense, and unfortunately maybe not the last either.

One time I was on a subway, and I heard a woman let out a large scream, being the only non j in that train car they all turned and looked at me- -typical, but both my hand hand been on the straps since I entered the train. Turns out it was a j man, who got nabbed by the train staff for his foolishness.

Would it be just as amusing if one of these creeps exposed themself to your daughter/sister/wife etc?

If you're going to flash someone, at least make sure it's nice to look at. This action hurts all the non-violent flashers out there.

Have some friends who experienced this.

Their councilor told them this to say.

”is that it? What can I do with such a pathetic little piece of ugly small skin?

Say this looking in their eyes and spit on the ground when you walk away. And laugh.

While relaxing in the sauna of the local onsen recently, I noticed the guy opposite me staring intently in my direction. Thinking it was the usual gaijin nonsense, I paid no attention, but, regrettably, I was proved wrong. With a few short minutes he reached down and started beating furiously while continuing to gaze at me.

It is not just women who have to suffer stuff like this.

It can occur to anyone. During my first week at military recruit training (boot camp) some cretin flashed me and some other recruits the same way. Totally warped.

If that had happened to me it would have turned me off to all onsen... (sorry no pun intended)

It would probably be amusing to all posters here reading about me getting arrested for castrating the abovementioned creep.

So did they at least point and laugh?

I'm surprised he wasn't carrying a selfie stick to record.

It is not just women who have to suffer stuff like this.

difference being that women are typically physically weaker, harder for a woman to administer swift retribution, which is why they stay quiet so often and report the crime after the shock and surprise have worn off.

These flashing morons love to see the shocked look on your face. They're just churlish immature brats that think they're being 'cute' and 'funny' by doing this, but it just shows a total lack of class and maturity. Absolutely disgusting and stupid.

@Toasted, nearly the same thing happened. My wife, my sons, my daughter and I were on the train coming back from Tokyo Dome, all seated on the bench, when a man positioned himself right in front of my college-age daughter and started beating off while staring at my daughter's bare legs (it was summer time). Literally centimeters away from her, and she was oblivious looking at her cellphone. I pointed it out to my wife, and our commotion made the guy take his hand from his pants and move away down the train car. My reaction was absolute shock and disgust, but in the instant it happened, I can tell you the shock and surprise prevented us from doing many things we later wish we had - e.g., taking his picture or filming him, or calling my grown sons for help (sitting on the opposite bench, behind him, so they couldn't see.)

I think these freaks count on us being so stunned that we don't immediately leap to the alternatives like castration or laughing and spitting, as the posters above suggest they would do.
