Oh,yes! He killed his friend because he was hitting on his girlfriend. Bye! Bye! Life! Idiot!

How did he kill his friend? No weapon?

Well never hit on your mate's girlfriend. That's only asking for trouble.

Congratulations on the Japanese police forces' superior arrest rate. Perhaps then can tell their secret to every other country in the world.

Crime of passion, just the same as if the couple was married. I'd say.

I hope they sort the details on this one. He may have become crazy and beat the guy to death, but it may be as well that he just punched or pushed him (which is understandable for hitting on the gf) and the guy, being drunk, bumped his head or something. Let's hope they will trust an autopsy rather than the "confession"

model citizen this one

Sounds like one of those tough guy traders.

If you don't trust that your girlfriend will be turning down other offers, you need a new girlfriend.

What if the other guy has a new LV bag though??

I don't get. What is 'trying to hit on his girlfriend' supposed to mean?

Apparently he said something like "wanna sing into my microphone, baby?"

He is an idiot and scumbag. Now he is facing murder charge. Will he be allowed to take his girl with him to jail? She must be special night time 'Princess' for him. 'Karaoke = Crimophobia.'

Professor, it means trying the victim was trying to chat up / date / sleep with the perp's girlfriend. It's American English.

Perhaps I'll show a bit more restraint myself in future - up till now I've had no qualms about walking up to a girl in a bar or izakaya and chatting her up or trying to get her email, whether her fella is there or not.

Nessie

bang on Nessie. No point in sticking around to get hurt. Now if someone wants to chat up my GF, let him try. Its up to her to put the fire out and if she does not, I ain't beating nothing but the road. The exact same should apply to me.

They've described him as beating his friend to death, which sounds awful; I imagine some kind of bludgeoning with fists when I hear the phrase, but people often don't realise how easy it could be to kill someone. One punch to the chin could do it. Life isn't a Hollywood movie, where people take haymakers with a shake of the head, get up and take some more. Of course, we don't know the whole story here, because it, as per normal, hasn't been provided, but that hasn't stopped people from making their own pronouncements on the case, also as per normal.

story correction. They were both drunk and the people with him let him continue to beat him, and he was picked up at his parent's house not apt.... Very unjapanese and but sadly new style here. The tough guy rebel without a cause story. Hence, simply watch the crime or fight. I have seen muthas take beating in the US. And, it usually takes about 6 kicks to the head or a dozen fists by a mean mutha with his bare hands. A pro obviously sorts faster. This guy must of got it for a few mins or 10 while the girl(s) watched with others too? There has to be more to the story. But on the other hand, they love watching K1......

Never sing a duet in a karaoke boot with another man's girlfriend

What a female!!! She sat by and watched her boyfriend kill his friend and destroy his own life in the process.

Good advice, or else you might end up in "a whole new world" of pain.

Or, just be friends with people that aren't psychos

The best thing you can do for yourself, apart from being rich and having a loyal lady, is become skilled at self defence is it not? You can't even trust your best mate not to beat your head in now.

Most deaths from hand to hand fights are usually from the falls after being knocked down or knocked out. That is why in most self defense classes going to the ground is a no-no. MMA is different because of the rules there are limits to what can occur. On the street anything is fair game.

Thats a group of high quality people there I tell ya. I wonder if the girl was egging either of the blokes on, then sat back and said "who me?"

I've known a couple girls in my day that somehow enjoyed getting men to fight over her. I sure hope this wasn't a case of that, that would be absolutely horrible.

killing yr own friend over a woman...OMG.....wld anyone agree that the gf might have flirted with the friend...which started off the 'hitting on'...hmmm.... i knew J women are good at these things..:)

Just goes to show you that karaoke and alochol can be hazadous to your health. What kind of a friend beats the other one to death?

What song were they singing to when this happened..Pat Benntar "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" maybe?

What's more strange in this story is that the girlfriend left with the guy and didn't notify anyone. For one, I would have attended the guy and called an employee or something. Obviously if the beating killed him, he must have looked awfully bad. I don't care if the guy was my boyfriend. To stand by and watch as a guy got beaten up, no way not me.

How could either of these guys sincerely call the other friend?

Et tu, Brute?

All of these people in this incident sound like complete fools. What kind of an idiot goes to karaoeke with not just his girlfriend but another guy? A looser does this unless the girl is a ho and if she is a ho, well then she won't mind 2 on 1 right?

You might like to know that some people in this country even go to the karaoke by themselves.

I almost beat one of my german coworker to death with a bottle of shochu, cause he was singing 99 Luftballons.

the girl was probably in the restroom, primping her poorly dyed & fried hair and applying more make-up & perfume. Probably as she came out of the restroom, the boyfriend caught her in the hall and dragged her out of the karaoke place.

I'm thinking the girl didn't say anything because she was afraid. Watch her keep going out with this guy & corresponding with him while he's in prison, "... I'll wait for you ... I love you." Hon, get a restraining order because - you're next. Don't think, "Oh, he'll never hit me ..." And for god's sake, don't have children with this low-brow!! Run!
