Police in Tome, Miyagi Prefecture, have arrested a 54-year-old unemployed man on suspicion of obstructing police in the performance of their duties by making 330 hoax calls to the 110 number.
According to police, Katsunori Monma made the calls between December last year and July this year, Sankei Shimbun reported. In the calls, he either remained silent or shouted “Idiots” and other insulting words, police said. Another time, he said, “Bring a warrant and come and get me.”
Police said Monma has admitted to making the calls from his home but told them he was usually drunk when he did so. He was also quoted as saying he didn’t realize he had made so many calls to 110. In one day alone, police said he made 30 calls.
During the same period of time, several hoax calls were made to the emergency 119 number and police are questioning Monma about those, too.

If drunk, he should call Japanese politicians. Police have serious jobs to do.

Police should be thanking him, not arresting him.
He gave them something to do, other than just sleeping, playing smartphone games or making Whoopie in the Koban.
You know, mixing it up a bit.

So he got into trouble for telling the truth.
