Man arrested for molesting flight attendant

Police in Tokyo have arrested a 35-year-old man on suspicion of molesting a female flight attendant aboard a plane at Haneda airport in May.

According to police, the incident occurred at around 7 p.m. on May 22  just after the domestic flight landed, Fuji TV reported. The suspect, Haruhiko Shiraishi, who is a company employee, has admitted to the charge, police said, quoting him as saying the woman “was my type.”

The flight attendant, who is in her 20s, told police that Shiraishi complained of a stomach ache and asked her if she could take him to the toilet and find him some medicine. When they got to the toilet, Shiraishi asked if she had a boyfriend and would she like to have some fun with him. He then fondled her. He also gave her a note with his phone number on it.

Police said Shiraishi has admitted doing the same thing to a flight attendant on another airline in 2018. On that occasion, he said he touched the woman’s buttocks.

And he thinks 'she's his type'. Well, somebody needs to put this bully boy in his place! You don't just go out and pick 'your woman'. It takes two to tango, pal. Go back to school and learn something.

It's lucky the woman came forward. In Japanese flight companies they are told the customer is god and to "gaman" such things. No joke. I know a number of flight attendants and have even dated a few. It infuriated me that they are forced to put up with it (unless it's so blatant others notice). If this guy hadn't given the phone number, it would have been her word against his if she even brought it up, and she'd lose.

And for those who think that's a croc, why do they still hire pretty much only young, attractive women after demanding full body photos and weight/height specifics in the application process?

Then the flight attendant asks a burly hairy man to escort him to the toilet.

Sadly men in Japanese rarely gets charged for sexual crimes in Japan.

Women have very little rights in Japan, and the police always refuses to protect women from stalkers and abusive bfs. There's never enough evidence for the Japanese police to move until the women gets killed.

It's a rather strange request on a plane, or indeed anywhere, for a grown man to ask someone to 'take me to the toilet'. Perhaps he couldn't find any of the numerous toilets at the front/back/middle of the aircraft.

Just once I'd like to hear that a young girl thwarted an attack by a molester with a swift kick to the gonads.

You never hear it.

Too bad.

To creeps like this, "my type" means she looks like she won't fight back.

Hey guys, if you find a woman who is "my type" be kind to her. And accept that maybe you are not her type.

This prevailing sense of privilege is overwhelming in its stench. Haruhiko Shiraishi is 35 years old - relatively young. What are the chances that this man will not have to suffer any serious consequences? Despite the wails of men's lives being ruined by false accusations, nothing much happens to men when the accusations are true and the crimes multiple.

Let's have a follow--up article to prove me wrong.

This guy is a real creep. You sexually harass someone because she is your type?

This is where flight bans come in handy. Do airline companies do that in Japan?
