Man arrested for refusing to pay bill after dining at Denny's for 12 hours

I remember an article almost exactly like this either earlier this year or late last year... I wonder if it was the same guy. One would think Denny's would learn their lesson by now, and ask someone to pay up much earlier than 12 hours later! =P

Or you'd think they'd have clued in on something being wrong when the tab for an individual broke the 2000, 3000, or 4000-yen mark. Seriously, how do you eat that much at Denny's over 12 hours?

Hope he didn't order the Denny-o's French Toast! Man, I was on a steady diet of Immodium and Yogurt for a week after eating that, trying to calm my stomach down!

Denny's is pretty expensive here. I would say watching the time would be a better indicator.

But anyway it seems you have no idea how much money Denny makes. This is like dropping a one yen coin down a rain grate to him. No, Denny is not going to fish for it or even think about it for one more second.

Denny's sucks anyway. Waffle house needs to set up shop there and show em what real shitty food is. Maybe then they will pay.

Maybe the poor old sod was starving. I heard if you is homeless , you cant get welfare. Maybe he was like that and stuffed his face full og grub out of need and desperation.

I expect he will also be thinking being in the nick will be warmer and he will get his grub. Makes sense when you fink abaht it.

Denny's could hire him for 10 hours of work washing dishes to pay off his bill.

We've seen this before, eat lots of free food and then get arrested for a free place to sleep. We'll see more of this as the economy continues to bleed jobs.

It's pretty normal for homeless guys to commit petty crimes in winter - nice warm cell and regular meals. Fair play to him for filling up before he got arrested - the police might be wise to his game and not treat him too well.

He kept ordering for 12 hours... This is sad and funny at the same time.

Police said Sato has been in trouble with the law before, including one time when he sneaked into a house when he had no place to sleep.

Let's hope he doesn't find himself with no girlfriend of his own to sleep with.
