Dude was just hoping that someone would walk under his timed bricks and be killed... Not too hard of a stretch to call this attempted murder or at least manslaughter.

The BRICK fell [TEN FLOORS] in front of the entrance below but nobody was hurt.

This sounds like a childish prank... but the man was FORTY-TWO YEARS OLD!!

Lots of businesses are in apartment buildings. And if the building is a rental building, the building itself is a business.

But this is likely just a holding charge while they gather the evidence they want to charge him with the actual crime they intend to charge him with.

According to police, there have been six similar accidents in the apartment building since September last year. Police are currently investigating Nakatani’s potential involvement in those cases as well.

Well, I think Sherlock Holmes would have no difficulty concluding who is responsible. Pretty sure there is not a whole gang of brick chuckers.

A delivery company employee.... a person that frequently enters and exits buildings, rigs a brick to drop at a place similar to one he might often go. The man has issues.... Chicken Little syndrome.

Neighbors were quoted by police as saying that they had seen bricks stored in front of Nakatani’s apartment since April and were wondering what he was using them for.

I wonder if they made a link to the bricks that kept falling from the sky.

I was rubbish at physics at school, and even I know that a 2 KG brick traveling at XX Mph from that sort of height is going to kill some one. should the charge be attempted murder?

If one of those bricks hit someone I cared about, the law would be the least of his worries‥……
