Police in Tokyo have arrested a 38-year-old man on suspicion of robbing the bar where he used to work last month.
According to police, the suspect, Hideki Nasu, used a crowbar to pry open the door and office safe of the establishment in Toshima Ward on May 17 and stole about 100,000 yen, Fuji TV reported.
Police said Nasu has admitted to the charge and quoted him as saying he needed money because he was in debt. Police said Nasu told them he had committed at least 10 similar robberies at bars and restaurants owned by the company he worked for in Tokyo and Saitama over the past three years.

you can open a safe with a metal bar? that "safe" should be called an "unsafe".

It would seem that he robbed chain stores, and the bar in the current robbery is one of the chain stores where he used to work. Chances were high that he had been well-informed about chain stores and robbed the stores rather easily including the current case. On the other hand, he was ready to be arrested at any moment as he was an ex-employee of the chain stores. And he actually ended up getting busted this time. Hope police verify the confessions of the suspect for other similar robberies in due course.

Always amazes me how people roll over and admit to other crimes. I'd love to be a fly on the wall.

Used a bar to break into a bar and soon he will be doing time behind bars.

Very clever Mocheake

Illogical
The police arrested him on suspicion.... Did I miss something but why did the police suspect him? Just because he was an ex employee?
