Man arrested for running online high school prostitution ring

Police have arrested a 28-year-old man for providing a service that illegally put high school girls in contact with men for the purpose of prostitution.

The man, who has been named as Naotake Fukayama, was arrested on a charge of underage prostitution for providing a Tokyo-based web service that acted as a go-between for underage prostitutes and clients, Fuji TV reported Saturday.

According to police, Fukayama's web service put a 16-year-old girl, from a private school in Tokyo, in touch with a 36-year-old man in January this year, following which his service was reported and investigated. In a related case, Tokyo Metropolitan Police also announced that one of its own officers was fined for paying an underage girl for sex in May.

During police questioning, Fukayama was quoted as saying, "I've introduced around 30 other people to girls."

So the officer who paid an underage girl for sex only had to pay a fine??

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't having sex with a minor a criminal offense in Japan ?? Why did the officer only have to pay a fine then be allowed to continue work ? I doesn't say he was forced to resign.

Crazed, he may have claimed that he was drunk and though it was part of Hashimoto's legal sex industry.

Our "juicy" Sunday morning news... As others have said : the officer was only fined ? No wonder people are worried about the police here !

The police are joke in every country. They get away with breaking laws that will arrest others and send them to jail for breaking. It is not just in Japan but it is in every country. It is outrageous that he was only fined. The molester is the one supposedly protecting you.

Is anything in this article shocking in any way? Pimps, high school girl prostitution, older men and even police complicity. Some things in Japan never seem to change.

Fined...? What about about Jail Time...? He's still a COP...? That's Beyond Ludicrous...! Who's Running this country...? Kids...?

Why did they only fine the police who paid for sex with an underage girl? Because he is One of Them! Don't you know that police and law in essence has basic flaws in Japan? They interpret their very old laws anyway they want, and they look like nothing has happened. It is not that they don't know or cannot understand, they simply have learned how to get away with their corrupt ways in this Silent Culture ...

Missing here is the age of the girl that the cop had sex with. If it was consensual and she was over 18 this is about all the cops can legally do to the guy. It would have been rape either unless she filed a report against the guy. There was a case down here in Okinawa like that a number of years back and the charges were dropped because the girl and her family refused to file a report against the guy and there was nothing the cops could do.

`Yubaru; what you said is the perfect example of the issue I raised. We are Not talking about an ordinary citizen having paid for sex; we are talking about a policeman who is supposed to protect citizens and is found by his own Police employer to have done wrong. So you still just fine him because a report was not filed by the family? Thanks man, great job ...

...perhaps the police should be confined to their stations/police boxes and forbidden to drink. "What's good for the goose..."

Everybody wants to have a brand name bag without working hard for it. Like a brand name bag gives you special status. Just vanity.

the parents and caretakers of these girls are the ones should be arrested and put behind bars. "proper education" is the only problem here, if the girls were given that there problem would be minimal to non existence. it's not that the pimp kidnapped, drugged and forced them at gun point to put money in his pocket, as avigator said:

"Everybody wants to have a brand name bag without working hard for it."

It is so easy to blame the parents in this case, but amazing as it is they are not always to blame.

Articles like this say allot about Japan that the outside world rarely hears about.

Actually the outside world is constantly inundated with stories of 'weird' and 'seedy' Japan so you're wrong. If anything, Japan gets it worse than other countries. You never hear about the dark sides of countries like Germany or South Korea in international media on the same level that you hear about Japan.

Kent, why do you think Police are a joke in every country? Do you speak from personal experience? I'm not saying all are saints, there are some bad apples in every profession but I would like to think there would be fewer in the Police force due to greater public accountability....that's my 2 cents worth anyway.

If this happened here the officer would be out of a job quick smart that's for sure and may even face criminal charges.

Would like to see the Japanese Police practice what they should be preaching...

Good. But what happens to the girls in all of this? They get off scot-free with a yoshi yoshi ruffle of the hair and allowed to keep the cash, whatever luxury brands they bought with it and the freedom to get on with the job wherever else they can find it? Surely we need more education as to what they are doing is wrong (it is hardly likely that they are being co-erced into this) and that we can't just brush under the carpet the fact that there are sukebe oyaji, hen na jijis out there. Bang them up with hefty fines is what I say.Make people afraid to break the law and they might stop doing it. As for the cop, he should be in jail. Is this a joke?

they didnt shut down the website yet did they?I always miss out.

With out these nasty little brats laying on their backs for the guys there really would not be as much a problem. It takes two to do this, 50 percent the guys buying and 50 percent the girls selling. Both are at fault and both are to be blamed not just the one side. In addition if they are high school aged it is not pedophilia big difference in age, it is Ephebophilia.

Was this article a misprint?

Fined = Fired ?

Because, for one thing, why would they fine him?

Missing from this story is how the cops found out. We need a complete coverage here. "A girl had sex with a guy for money. Later the pimp said he'd hooked up 30 clients."

Like, what happened?

1 ( +1 / -0 )

The important thing here is that they shut the guy down operating this underage pimp service.

So I presume this criminal offender also got a receipt to deduct from income tax ?

It is not called the worlds oldest profession for nothing. I think the men went by the rule of "If you don't ask (the girl's age) then you are not lying" when you say I didn't know she was under age. (In Japan that is 20) O_o
