Police in Noshiro, Akita Prefecture, have arrested a 23-year-old company employee from Matsudo, Chiba Prefecture, for sending his ex-girlfriend emails in which he threatened to kill her.

According to police, the man sent countless messages like, "I'll kill you," and "I'll make you remember" to the woman's cell phone in September and October, TV Asahi reported.

Police quoted the suspect as saying he was angry because the woman broke up with him.

“I’ll kill you,” and “I’ll make you remember” <

I think she would not remember if he killed her. The man is confused about reality and death.

I wonder if this idiot could remember what got him arrested? Let me see if the prosecutor can make him remember?

Get on him before he becomes a stalker!

Before he becomes a stalker? I think its a bit late for that. The police have to take this seriously and act on these threats. Remember the girl stabbed and killed in Ichikawa by a jilted lover? They need to make the penalties for this kind of behavior these losers will think twice about threatening emails.

@Magnus Roe, people in Japanese news articles are often introduced with their profession: shopkeeper, driver, sushi chef. Someone whose job is to sit in front of the computer, making spreadsheets, writing emails and occasional phone calls is a "company employee".

Get on him before he becomes a stalker! His ex should change all her contact details and disappear for a while, perhaps.

Akita is supposedly the land of the Akita bejean. He should have just moved on instead of dwelling on this girl.

Yes! Let's take these threats seriously. Let's not wait until it's too late.

Wow a case in which the police took threats seriously? I hope the woman can move on quickly from this kind of frightening ordeal.
