this is Japan, he will be sentenced to:“prosecution dropped. No reason was given” and then he’ll be off to do it again.

You don't hear of a stressed out woman running up behind a guy and grabbing a handful of nuts.

It happens, but the guys rarely complain. Of course this is a crime, but 60 years in prison for this crime by a 20 year old really is nuts. At that age, therapy can work wonders (if they had therapy in Japan).

Police said the suspect, Rikuto Yamazaki, a post office employee, has admitted to the charge and quoted him as saying he groped the woman because he was stressed out at work, Sankei Shimbun reported.

@comanteer, I agree with the therapy part to rehab these kind of people, placing them behind bars would just be another person living off of taxes and not contributing much to society. Giving them legalized mind-altering drugs just masks the problem and not solve anything either. I'd recommend giving him a weekly "therapy" session in Kabukicho as a start.

I understand he is a young guy with very little to No Experience with women but grouping strange women is not the way to release your stress But it is the way to ruin a good part of your life. I wonder if his parent ever talked with him about the Birds & the Bees and the difference between Right & Wrong, Probably Not and so he has to figure it all out by himself. He is considered a Minor so the punishment should not be that harsh Hope he gets his life on the right track and stops grouping strange women.

You may be onto something. It would certainly be cheaper than prison. But, on the other hand, we don't want to incentivize this behavior.
