Man arrested for shoplifting video game software worth ¥105,000

Police in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, have arrested a 43-year-old man from Nantan City, Kyoto Prefecture, on suspicion of shoplifting video game software worth 105,000 yen.

According to police, Rikiya Tochishita, a part-time employee, is accused of stealing 15 video game software items from a bookstore in Kanazawa City at around 1 p.m. on Sunday, Sankei Shimbun reported.

A police officer, who was in the store which had been robbed before, saw Tochishita hiding the software in his clothes as he left the store and detained him.

Police said they are questioning him about prior shoplifting cases at the store.
