Police in Yokohama have arrested a 40-year-old man on suspicion of property damage after he sprayed paint on another man’s house.
According to police, Tetsuro Akiyama, a company employee spray painted the doorplate, wall and mailbox of the house in Minami Ward at around 2:10 a.m. on May 12, Kyodo News reported. Police said that Akiyama’s parents live near the victim’s house and that he occasionally visited them, leaving his car parked on the street.
Police quoted Akiyama as saying that the man who lives near his parents damaged his car three times while it was parked and that he spray painted the man’s house out of revenge. Street surveillance footage showed Akiyama spray painting the man’s house on May 3 as well as May 12.© Japan Today
