Police in Sakai, Osaka Prefecture, have arrested a 20-year-old unemployed man on suspicion of attempted murder after he allegedly stabbed two male minors on the street in a dispute over cannabis trafficking.
According to police, Seira Tanaka stabbed two 17-year-old boys in the abdomen and back with a knife at around 1:15 a.m. on Sept 17, Kyodo News reported. The victims suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Another boy, aged 16, who was at the scene was not attacked.
Police said Tanaka is believed to be a cannabis trafficker. The minors attempted to steal marijuana from him by connecting with him over a social networking site and lured him to the scene for a drug deal. However, a fight ensued and Tanaka pulled out a knife and stabbed the two victims.© Japan Today
