A man was arrested Wednesday for strangling his father at their house in Fukui City, Fukui Prefecture, on Tuesday. Tatsuya Ueno, 40, was arrested for allegedly strangling his father, 69, around 9:10 a.m. According to police, his wife found him strangling his father and tried to stop him. His daughter told a neighbor to call police.
Police found the victim dead in the living room of the house when they arrived. Ueno has so far refused to provide a motive.

Perhaps Japan should make some kind of oversight committee to make sure crimes like this don't happen again in the future.
