A 41-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of threatening to kill a man who had warned him not to drive recklessly, police said Friday.
The incident took place on Sept 30 on a road in the city of Fukaya, Saitama Prefecture. Tamotsu Hasegawa, who works as a caregiver for the elderly, was driving his car recklessly by going too near the truck in front of him on several occasions and repeatedly honking his horn, Fuji TV reported.
The 26-year-old truck driver stopped, got out and warned Hasegawa to stop tailgating him. Police said Hasegawa responded by pointing scissors at the man’s neck and threatened to kill him if he didn't shut up.
The truck driver filed a report with the police which led to Hasegawa’s arrest.

When a Japanese truck driver admonishes you for bad driving, you know you suck
bones
I couldn’t be a truck driver in Japan, I would have probably gotten back in my truck and threw it in reverse.

if somebody wants to pass, pull to the side and let them. its not rocket science.

So what was he going to do? Crash into the truck if the truck driver didn't speed up? Because 9 out of 10 times, the smaller car will get crushed and the truck will come out of this unscathed. He should have tried it if he was that desperate.

truck driver should have held up closed hand
and told Hasegawa - rock beats scissors

If somebody really wants to pass as if it is a life or death emergency, they can swerve around the person in front of them. Nobody owns the road.
