A 51-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting a female high school student in a back alley in Tokyo in July, police said Wednesday.

According to police, Kozo Yoshinaga, a company employee, approached the 15-year-old girl from behind as she walked home and forcibly hugged and assaulted her in Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo on July 3, Fuji TV reported. Police said Yoshinaga grabbed her wrists and dragged her into the alley.

Police said Yoshinaga has admitted to the charge and quoted him as saying he could not restrain himself.

Police have received reports of similar offenses in the same area and are questioning Yoshinaga about his involvement in those crimes.

If you cannot restrain yourself from teenage girls on the street, we have restraints for you! Get this menace off the streets, and put a plaque around his neck for life warning others.

quoted him as saying he could not restrain himself

Is that his excuse? Seriously? He’s just another mentally ill sexual predator. Perhaps chemical castration will help him to restrain himself.

he could not restrain himself

51 years old...

the girl will be damaged and scared all her life and he will be able to walk away free with a smile

He couldn’t restrain himself?

what reasoning is that?

I have a friend whose daughter just started working at this company in Akihabara this year after university. One day a male coworker randomly came up to her and said, "I want to know everything about you." He asked her to meet him after work. She said no, but you can talk to me during working hours. Now she has a single 50-something coworker stalking her. He follows her during bathroom breaks, lunch and to the station after work. She has resorted to having her siblings take turns coming to the office not the station to pick her up and escort her home. She stays in the office with the other coworkers until they finish work and come up to get her. Luckily, her siblings work only a few stations away.

He couldn’t restrain himself? Maybe he should try picking up on women more/less his age. It’s not that difficult.

She should report him..

When you've consumed a steady stream of exploration of young women/girls in the form of anime, manga, and J-porn for a few decades, it may be difficult to pick up real women.

That was a huge mistake.

Aren't all assaults are results from one cannot restrain him/her self?

My god man do not entertain stalkers.

This woman should film this man and have him arrested. Not doing anything may be very dangerous for your niece.

She is not a family member or a friend. I have never met the young lady. I told my friend my thoughts about the situation. I can only lead a horse to water.

And as everyone knows the Japanese police won't do anything until it is too late.

Yoshinaga has admitted to the charge . . . saying he could not restrain himself.

Thus giving all men a bad name. This belief that men are just beasts with no conscience or self-control, driven by their desire to rut, or their frustrated rage, unable to tell right from wrong, has always been supported by those in positions of authority as well as by regular members of society, who wish to excuse men's sexual violence and physical assault.

And if this man gets a perfunctory sentence, the belief will continue. Fear all men, is the message we learn when men like this are excused, for they cannot control themselves.
