Police said Tuesday that a man has been arrested following a hoax bomb threat at Fujikyu Highland amusement park in Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi Prefecture. According to a report on NTV, police received the call on Sunday at around 10 p.m. from a man who claimed he had planted a bomb at Fujikyu Highland.
Officers were dispatched to check the area around the park, whereupon they discovered 40-year-old shop assistant Naohiko Okawa nearby. After talking to the officers for a short time, Okawa confessed to having made the call. Police said that there was no bomb, NTV reported. Fujikyu Highland said in a statement that the amusement park was already closed when the call was made, so panic and disruption were minimal.

This bloke doesn't sound like the sharpest pencil in the box. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if he is found to be intellectually challenged. I mean, making a hoax bomb threat, then heading to the hoax attack venue and hanging around and waiting till the cops arrive?

I hate to sound grim, but I hope that they check out his family to make sure that everyone is ok. This nut case sounds liket the type that would off his parents, and then try some stunt like this to go to jail to get taken care of.
If not, he will soon be on the World's Dumbest Criminals show.
