Police in Sagamihara, Kanagawa Prefecture, said Monday they have arrested a 42-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder after he slashed the head of the company he works for.

According to police, the incident occurred in a residential neighborhood at around 12:20 p.m. Sunday, Kyodo News reported. Police said the suspect, Koji Yokota, a company employee, is accused of slashing his 48-year-old boss with a sword at his home. The victim’s wife called police who detained Yokota outside the house.

The victim suffered cuts to his face and fingers, but his wounds are not life-threatening, police said.

Interesting.

Whose sword ?

Perhaps Yokata was swinging it around Samurai style and accidentally slashed the Boss !

Simply, not enough information here.

People can only be pushed so far.

Looks like his Christmas bonus is going to be slightly less than he expects.

Don’t use fingers against samarai swords. A chair and fast Nike shoes is much better!

That has all the halmarks of a Yak beef. I simply cannot fathom the average disgruntled goober having a Katana in this day and age.

In the early 90s when I was young and living in Kyushu, yes (and even then the guys with swords tended to be a bit "yak-ish").

Today, no how, no way.
