Man arrested over deaths of 2 Chinese sisters

Kanagawa prefectural police have arrested a 39-year-old man on suspicion of abandoning the bodies of two Chinese sisters. The bodies of Chen Baolan, 25, and Chen Baozhen, 22, were found in two suitcases in a mountainous area near Hadano City on July 13. The sisters were registered residents of Yokohama.

Police said Tatsuya Iwasaki, who also lives in Yokohma, is suspected of dumping the suitcases sometime on July 7, Fuji TV reported.

An autopsy showed that both women had died of strangulation.

So far, Iwasaki has remained silent on the matter, refusing to answer any questions about the sisters, police said.

According to police, surveillance camera records show a man resembling Iwasaki entering the sisters' apartment building late on the evening of July 6 and leaving with two suitcases the next day.

Police said Iwasaki was a customer at a restaurant where Baolan was working. Staff said that at one point she and Iwasaki had been dating.

This was a horrific crime.

Those poor girls did not deserve to die.

I hope they got the right guy.

I'm glad they've got the guy, I'm hoping he's the right one. Send him to China for trial....that will win some diplomacy points and save the taxpayers some money.

Yes send him to China for trial where once he's convicted they'll take him outside and shoot him in the back of the head

Yup, glad they've got him.

On TV they were saying that the other sister probably came home and saw what he was doing...

Just make a simple one sentence statement to police and stick with it: "Sorry, but I do not recall murdering them."

To what end?

A 39 year old dating an 25 year old huh?

Sounds pretty shady and I bet he was being used by her for visa related stuff.

Eventually he found out, got upset and killed her.

Yeah! I bet you're right based on the nothing whatsoever presented to indicate that actually happened.
