A 62-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of killing his 88-year-old bedridden father at their house in Otaki, Chiba Prefecture.
According to police, Kazuo Hattori strangled his father Kyoji at around 8:20 a.m. on Thursday, Fuji TV reported. He then placed an emergency phone call to police and confessed to killing his dad.
When police arrived at the scene, Kyoji -- who had been bedridden for sometime - was lying dead on a futon.
Hattori was quoted by police as saying, “I felt anxious about whether my father and I could continue living together.”

Well he's certainly solved his feelings of anxiousness. The human brain is a mysterious thing.

That's the second report today of an adult child killing an ageing parent. I got many thumbs down for stating on my other post but, Japan is a safe country until you go home.

Why even arrest him, they'll give him a suspended sentence.
