Police in Utsunomiya, Tochigi Prefecture, have arrested a 27-year-old man on suspicion of stabbing to death his 28-year-old girlfriend.

The suspect, Ryu Sugeno, has admitted to killing his girlfriend, Sakiko Nemoto, because "she treated him coldly," police quoted him as saying.

Fuji TV reported that Nemoto, who worked as a nurse, was found dead in her apartment at around 7 p.m. Sunday. Nemoto’s family notified police after they were unable to get in contact with her from Dec 9.

Police said Sugeno has admitted to killing her on Dec 10 with a kitchen knife belonging to the victim.

Following the discovery of Sugeno's body, police put out an alert for her car which was missing from the apartment parking lot. The vehicle was found in Motomiya, Fukushima Prefecture and the driver, Sugeno, was then taken in for questioning.

Does anybody still wonder why there are so many single women in Japan and why the birth rate is dropping? It's because there are so many of these extreme 'kabedon' creeps out there. Nearly every Japanese woman I know (I know a lot through my job) has some kind of creep story to tell about their ex-boyfriend. Everything from sending a hundred or more emails every day to waiting for them at the train station and, one girl told me her ex used to sleep in his car outside her house. Nearly every month you read about some jilted twit killing his girlfriend or ex and they are only the ones that make it to the news. Many women are adopting the mindset of, stay single to stay safe!

On the news last night, they mentioned something about him being suspicious of her possibly cheating on him and that is why he killed her.

Dang, if the girl doesn't like you any more, just move on. You're not getting any in the slammer, well...
