Police in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, said Sunday they have arrested a 50-year-old man on suspicion of murdering his unemployed 48-year-old son-in-law by stabbing him with a piece of a broken golf club.
According to police, the suspect, Yukio Suzuki, stabbed his son-in-law, Yoshinori Suzuki, at around 4:45 p.m. Saturday in a car parking lot outside his (Yukio's) home, Sankei Shimbun reported. The victim was taken to hospital where he died from loss of blood about two hours later.
Police were alerted by a neighbor who saw Yoshinori bleeding from the head and chest in the driver's seat of his car.
Yukio, who was found at the scene of the crime with the piece of the golf club, has admitted to the crime, but has so far not given any motive, police said.© Japan Today
