This guy needs server psychiatric help. While I realize that is unlikely in a Japanese jail, he does need to be punished for a long time. Won't be long before he is considering killing people with that kind of mindset.

Crazy!

I wonder if the parrot said something that alerted the police? Birds are pretty smart. Smarter than some humans.

‘Arrested over pigeon killing’….i would have thought the abuse/torture would be against the law but not the actual killing?! My neighbour used to kill his chickens (and eat them) regularly & never got into trouble.

They wouldn't bond with him because he abused them. Pretty simple. Don't pluck their feathers or hold them underwater or leave them in cages all day. Pretty simple. I've had several birds from sparrows to parakeets and they all bonded well with me. I hope the surviving birds get the proper care they deserve and find a good loving home. Not much worse than people who abuse living creatures. Scum.

What's really scary is how many people have been alone in a taxi with this guy. You never know.

Psycho POS.

Wasn't the is the same guy who tried to run over some pigeons on the street with his taxi a few years back? Since this guy is also a taxi driver, I'm almost certain it's him.

This scumbag cannot be reformed. Throw away the key.

Serial killers almost always start out with animals for practice. The recording of the kills also typical, so they can relive the fantasy anytime they want. Eventually the animals become too easy and it loses the satisfaction, so they move onto humans. Lock him up for life!

'My neighbour used to kill his chickens (and eat them) regularly and never got into trouble'.
Yes, that's possibly so, but I'm sure he wasn't using a whip and scissors to do this.
