Police in Fujimino, Saitama Prefecture, have arrested a 23-year-old man after he called 110 and threatened to detonate a bomb at a police station.
The suspect, Kazuki Sugano, an office employee, was arrested on suspicion of forcible obstruction of business after he called 110 and said "I will bomb the East Iruma police department," from a pay phone in the city at around 1 a.m. Sunday, Fuji TV reported.
According to police, multiple bomb threats had been made by phone against the police station since mid-December.
A police officer on patrol questioned Sugano while he was actually making the call at the pay phone and arrested him at the scene.
Sugano has admitted to the charge and was quoted by police as saying that he wanted to harass the police.

Sounds like this idiot had a predictable MO if the cops could nab him so easily.

He could have saved himself Y10 and delivered the message to the officer directly!

I know these days there are fewer pay phones in my local area probably being reserved for people like elderly and homeless people who have presumably not smartphones and such. And I have learned this time the young suspect used it in this way. That said, he was arrested so easily as by his own request...

Someone under the age of 50 using a payphone? SUSPICIOUS.

Sounds like a loser criminal.
Reminds me of suicide terrorists whose bombs kill only themselves and nobody else got hurt. Kinda lame.
