Man crashes car, then kills 2-year-old son in Kyoto

Poor boy. I hope he rests in peace.

I think the results of his mental health assessment are already quite clear. I see so many highly strung individuals floating on the edge of insanity it scares me. Sad end to the little boy's life.

And recently you see "Kyoto" and "car accident" all too often in the headlines.

Yeah, it always amazes me how we need to take a proper license to own a dog, and on the other hand such, obviously sick persons are allowed to make children...

not sure if they were too late, but why the heck didn't the police officers shoot him to stop him from bashing in his son's head any further. that's why they have guns!

It's a murder within his own family, he will get a light sentence, yet if he's deemed incompetent to stand trial in he will get even a lighter sentence.

There have been many violent incidents recently but this one is nauseatingly inhuman.

... did anyone check to see if the father had a skull fracture or internal bleeding in the brain? It strikes me as highly suspicious that the father was fine before the accident and then shortly after killing his son. This looks INCREDIBLY like traumatic brain injury psychosis, in which case it would be 100% NOT the father's fault and entirely related to brain damage.

Anyone who says they have never had violent crazy thoughts is lying. As people well trained from birth, we have been trained not to give in to those notions. But drugs and brain damage can put those thoughts in control.

This boy had no chance to get an education, start a job, marry a nice woman, and have children, all because his parent was ignorant enough to believe in spirits, ghosts, possibly gods (or a single god), etc.

I can only wish apologies were enough to bring back the dead…

Do the cops need a confession if they saw him committing the act? I've said it before and I'll say it again, the biggest danger for Japanese children are their own parents.
