Well I don't know, but if I was a girl I'd rather prefer losing my underwear, wouldn't you? At least you can buy new panties everywhere whereas growing your hair will take months, if not years, so she'll be remembered of this accident for a long time. Some guys here really seem to believe that every unemployed man is a potential killer/rapist/child molester. Wait until you lose your job and get forced to live with your parents again (another prejudice -- this happens everywhere and even in the best families) and then judge again. May be that many criminals use to be "unemployed men in their 30s", but given the large number of them it's still a minority.

He only cut a handful, easily fixed with a visit to the hairdresser and it will grow back. More trauma in losing her panties and that takes longer to heal.

Scissors can cut stab, slice and more depending on scissor size and type. but why should we discuss an action that didn't happen?

This story doesn't make any sense. I thnk she is being bullied. Maybe her classmates cut her hair... and she doesn't want to implicate them for fear of retaliation.

@gogogo. You're bringing another issue into this story. The man appears to have mental issues but we shouldn't use pre-conceived prejudices to say that his motives were sexual. Of course it might be related to sex but the story doesn't mention it. If it were sexual, I would have thought that he would have done something far worse. After all , he engaged her and the attack was brazen.

Demanding money from a twelve-yr-old? This guy on some designer hallucinatory/deliriant drugs? That would explain his subsequent action.
