Japanese police have arrested a man accused of bursting into a lawyer's office and cutting off his penis with garden shears before flushing the organ down a toilet.
Local media reports said Thursday that Ikki Kotsugai, a 24-year-old Tokyo graduate student, may have been acting out of revenge over his wife’s romantic involvement with the 42-year-old victim with whom she worked.
Police said Kotsugai, who was arrested shortly after the alleged attack, burst into the lawyer's office in Tokyo's Minato Ward at around 7:40 a.m. Thursday. He punched the unnamed lawyer several times before prying off his pants and then severing his "lower body part" with the shears.
Kotsugai told police that he flushed what was severed down the toilet.
A Tokyo police spokesman confirmed the body part in question was the man’s genitals.

There goes the popular thought that cheating is ok in Japan. Poor guy. It wasn't right, but that was too harsh. His life is changed forever now. That husband ruined his life also... damn.

Mutilation like this should carry a life sentence I reckon. I'd say a good portion of guys would probably just kill themselves if they ever got cut.. A life sentence as well as a cut for the offender if it's a dude

Wow, usually this would be something a woman would be expected to do.... at most I'd expect a guy to maybe crush a walnut or two... but garden shears? Guess his wife won't ever be fooling around with that particular guy again.
But here's an idea though, if one's wife is caught cheating with another man. Just divorce! Leave the offending party to lie in the bed they've made (pun slightly not intended).

Won't be fooling around with her husband either. At least not for a long time.

Deepest sympathy for the 42 year old lawyer as he has to live a life without the most important organ that defines a "MAN" .He would write his biography "Survivor of a penis slaughter".He is lucky to be alive. As for Ikki Kotsugai, the 24-year-old Tokyo graduate it will be a lifetime of memories.

Lawyers in Japan are mostly too evil. I wonder if he did it because he had no hope for justice if he took legal action. The lawyer could have been a womanizer and he wanted to put an end to all of that! We need to hear more about the guy's motive ...

I don't think Japan has "crime of passion" motives in their justice system do they? Reminds me of a line to a song, "You give love, a bad name!"
Aside from that, two wrongs don't make a right. For the wife, don't get married if you don't wanna commit. To the man fooling around with someone elses marriage, it's disrespectful unless he really didn't know she was married. The consequences for him is he'll be peeing out of a catheter for the rest of his life and never enjoy sex again.
And to the husband, well, I can understand why he went all rage-y, but damn the consequences just aren't worth it. Unless it was rape... then I know I would have done something similar regardless of prison time...

The lawer's philandering cost his intimate part and future, while the suspect has ended up paying a massive price for what he has done, by probably spending many years in prison. It really hurts both of them.

Punched the lawyer? Did he actually knock the lawyer out? I find it hard to imagine he could have done it. Garden shears require the use of two hands, so how did he stop the lawyer moving?

Maximum sentence, please. No real man cuts off another man's penis. I can understand the hurt feelings and even the rage over finding out about a spouse's love affair, but genital mutilation is wrong. Even though the victim was 42, he has had his reproductive ability, and a lot of what defines a man as a man (for better or worse) taken away from him.
Lock the guy up for a good 10 years minimum, plus a maximum fine, and let's hope he gets a little 'justice' dealt to him in prison when they hear what the guy did.
Danny Bloom
Genital not genitals. No? One penis is a genital. Singular. Unless perp cut off testicals too. Then plural genitalS. Sorry my dad , z'l, who would have been 100 today had he lived past his 90th birthday, was a urologist.

He used single-handed shears. The wife also worked at the lawyers office. The ex-boxer and his wife went to the lawyer's office in the morning to first talk about or confront the lover and at some point the husband took matters into his own hands... Apparently the husband had some suspicions and had checked up on the wife.

Many of you are calling the Lawyer "the victim".... but he did commit a moral crime which led to this. By not considering him also culpable in this affair you are tacitly saying adultery is acceptable. But Yes, the punishment does not fit the crime.

I have two questions: (1) did the lawyer know that the woman was married? My assumption is yes, but it isn't clear here. (2) What exactly was the woman's involvement as it related to the actions her husband took?
I have seen/heard about a lot of crazy stuff in my life when it comes to relationships, particularly in Japan, and I am wondering this story is a little bit more complicated than is outlined in this article.
What I will say is this. Nothing excuses what the husband did. And he should pay for it. But if the lawyer was messing around with a woman he knows is married, and he is 42 and she is 20 something, he should have known better. And he should have known that life has a funny way of dealing out its own justice, whether right or not.
Sorry, but I was raised old school and was taught that you NEVER mess with another man's "woman", particularly if they are married. Never. Because matters of the heart lead people to do crazy things and you are putting yourself at the mercy of whoever the "other man" is. Doesn't make what they do right or justified, but I was taught that right or wrong doesn't matter if you end up frakked up or, worse yet, dead.
So, again, if this lawyer had no clue this woman was married, then my sympathies and condolences are with him. But if he did, then not much in the way of sympathies. You play with fire, you run the risk of getting burned.
Sorry, I am sure many of you may down vote me, but that is the reality of life and I am just calling it the way I see it.
Oh, and the wife/woman? Pox on her, unless she was in a compromised position because she worked for the guy and he had abused his position somehow.

Took matters into own hands? You mean, a pair of shears in one hand and the "d**k" in the other... Heh!

@zones2surf: according to the Japanese version of the story, the wife was an employee at the lawyer's office. The husband went to the office with his wife where he confronted the lawyer about the affair.

zones2surf: "Sorry, I am sure many of you may down vote me, but that is the reality of life and I am just calling it the way I see it."
Yes, because you flat out said you should not "mess with another man's woman" as though, a) she were a possession, and b) solely because of the potential consequences and not because it is immoral.
"Oh, and the wife/woman? Pox on her, unless she was in a compromised position because she worked for the guy and he had abused his position somehow."
Pox on her regardless, because she knowingly cheated. And SUPER pox on her if she led the lawyer to believe she was single (and if she did, and was going to face the lawyer with her husband as another poster said, then she should be arrested as an accomplice for what her husband did, whether she knew he was capable of such a thing or not, for she is in part responsible. It is entirely possible he did not know -- at least as possible as him knowing. I have dated women here before who were married and I did not know about it until a few dates later. I was completely shocked and would never have even gone out with them had I known. People here are pretty good at hiding relationships as they often keep very separate lives with that of their spouse.

@smithinjapan:
"Mess with another man's woman" in no way implied she is a possession. It implies a relationship. When I refer to "my wife", the wonderful beautiful woman that she is, I in no way consider her my possession. But I do have a relationship with her and when people talk to me about her, they say "your wife". And what I meant by that relationship is that when you are talking about a relationship between a man and a woman bound together by love, you are talking about affairs of the heart.
As for the "solely because of the potential consequences and not because it is immoral", again, my statement was not intended to exclude the morality of the actions. Of course morality is to be considered. Goes without saying. The reason I was taught that was that, in addition to the morality involved, it was that one's actions could have real and dire consequences one could not predict. It was the idea that, if the immorality of what you were about to do didn't stop you from taking that step, then you better darn well consider the potential consequences.
I get the point and, in principle, I agree with the idea. HOWEVER, the two factors here that led me to put that caveat in there was this. The lawyer is 42. I am assuming she is 20 something. One does not know the relationship in the office. Did she work for him? Was there a boss/subordinate relationship?! Was there power harrassment involved? I am not saying this is the case, I am just holding this out as a caveat.
As for the lawyer possibly not knowing, I think I noted that in my comments, both on the front end, and in my comments around whether he has my sympathies or not. I agree with you, it happens quite often, one party not knowing the other is married. Men do it to women, women do it to men. In Japan, in the U.S., in Europe.

daito_hak
This is utter nonsense. There is no moral crime in Japan, this is not a country with some sort of religious law that defines what is moral or not. There is only one law and this is the one defined by the penal code. Now the penal code doesn't consider adultery a crime nor it tries to characterize it as acceptable or not, given that what is involved here is sexual activities between consenting adults. What it does consider is that one of the party who is "victim" of adultery can pursue to get compensations, usually financial, in front of a court of justice.
Which means that there is one and only one crime involved here, the one where a man has atrociously mutilated another man.

zones2surf: ""Mess with another man's woman" in no way implied she is a possession. It implies a relationship. "
It in EVERY way implies she is a possession, same as if you said, "mess with a man's car". Saying to someone "She's my wife" is not the same as saying, "She's my woman", is it?
"As for the "solely because of the potential consequences and not because it is immoral", again, my statement was not intended to exclude the morality of the actions."
But you DID exclude it -- you said you should not 'mess with another man's woman' because you never know the CONSEQUENCES, not because it is morally wrong. It doesn't go without saying it when being immoral and simply 'getting caught' are not at all the same thing.
"HOWEVER, the two factors here that led me to put that caveat in there was this. The lawyer is 42. I am assuming she is 20 something. One does not know the relationship in the office. Not picking a fight with you, but either way it was her choice. If she's suffering harassment, report it. There is a system in place, albeit feeble, in Japan that is getting better and better at dealing with 'seku-hara', if that was even the case. If she knew enough to tell it to her boxer boyfriend, who clearly has a violent temper, you would think she knows enough to tell the proper authorities. She chose not to, after CHOOSING to engage in the relationship. Obviously nothing was reported to the authorities until after the man was violently assaulted. If she had been raped, you can hardly call that a love affair, and the article DOES indicate 'love affair', not someone duped, abused, or otherwise coerced into it. No sympathy for the woman. If the victim knew about it, then he is also morally guilty, though not at all deserving of mutilation. As for the husband, as I said, may he get his just desserts in prison.

@smithinjapan,
You are reading into my statements what you want to read into them and applying your own opinions. Which is your prerogative
"Another man's woman" is an expression. You may think it implies possession. That's your perogative. I don't and I did not mean it that way, regardless of whether you tell me it means possession. For example, many women may talk about their partner as "my man". Women even talk amongst themselves about "my man", "your man", etc. Regardless, the idea of possession was not what I intended. I was relating what I was taught, I am telling you what I was taught, and the idea of a man possessing a woman was not what was built into what I was taught. End of story. Unless you want to tell me what I was taught and what was intended in what I was taught and how I meant what I wrote.
As for my statement excluding the morality of actions, again, that is how you interpreted it. But that was not intent. Not mentioning it does not, by definition, exclude it. This is a comment section. I could have written an exhaustive explanation about how I was taught not to get involved in actions that were immoral. In addition to the consequences of actions. However, the point of my comment was that actions sometimes have consequences and, in the cases of relationship related matters, especially affairs, those consequences can be pretty serious. Whether the action is moral or immoral was not the point of my comment which is why I didn't mention it. I wasn't passing judgment on him because of the morality of his actions, I was trying to point out that he suffered the consequences of his actions. Whether deserved or not, right or wrong or not.
As for the wife/woman, I understand what you are trying to say. I was providing the possible basis for a caveat, however remote it may be. As inevitably in the comment section people will note that we don't have all of the facts. Nothing more, nothing less. I said pox on her, apart from this caveat. I think you are arguing that there is no need for a caveat. Fine. Let's agree to disagree. I will keep the caveat in place until we know more, even though I think she is also fully to blame her.
Brian Wheway
I can say, speaking on behalf of the men reading this article, my and there eyes must be watering !! can you imagine the comments from his fellow workers? "morning stumpy!" Iam sure there will be plenty of comments after this, but did the guy go too far? I would say that his actions require him to go to jail for some time, yes what the other guy did to his girl friend was wrong, but his reactions are over the top.
danalawton1@yahoo.com
@ daito_hak.... love it "there is no moral crime in Japan". therefore Japan has no Morals? The lawyer had no fault whatsoever in the situation.

I saw on American TV about the advances in penis transplant. As for "Another man's woman", I agree with Smith that it implies male ownership of women.
zones2surf
@toshiko:
Fair enough. For argument's sake I will accept what you say, that it implies possession in Japan for centuries. That is irrelevant to my statement, as I was discussing what I was taught and I am not Japanese. And I was not taught that women are the possession of men.
But, actually, this makes my point. I don't believe women are the possession of men and I was not taught this with that idea in mind. HOWEVER, I have NO idea how other men view women, and, therefore, their relationship to their partner. Therefore, if some other guy DOES view his "woman" as his possession and I mess around with her, then the consequences may not be nice.
Again, my point. When you go down this road, you have no idea of the consequences, particularly because you don't know the scorned partner involved and how they might react.

Guys, we have to stop fighting each other when these women cheat. Japanese women cheat twice as much as any other women in the world. Most of the time it's a one-off but if there's money involved and a chance to reach a higher level then J-grils will definitely cheat.
So just remember, if we are working in a doctor's office or lawyers office, and / or especially a bank we are sleeping with someone there.
If this guy had proof he should have gone after the lawyer"s money in Family Court. However a crafty lawyer like this one might have beat it easily. So yeah.....cut it off. A woman will definitely leave a man with no penis. Definitely.

Ok, let me this correct: The Male Suspect - a 24 Year Old; severs off "the unit" of a 42 Year Old Male whom the suspects Wife was having an affair with at the time of the attack.
Well, judging by the suspects extreme violence in this case, it doesn't surprise me to learn why the suspects wife was having an affair. She was probably ready to end the marriage because that kind of behavior is not normal by any standards of conduct unless rape is involved then I understand the severing of "the unit" to ensure that doesn't happen again.
But this guy was just venting rage beyond what is to be considered the normal way of handling things.

In the case of this guy cutting off another man's organ this is not considered justifiable cause because the wife knowingly made the decision to have an affair. Utter hogwash. The victim didn't take any vows; perhaps the husband should have taken the matter up with the person who did.
A completely legal, consenting relationship between adults is just that. The problem is apparently that the husband does not possess adult faculties.

With the 24-year-old heading off to the slammer, and the 42-year-old missing in action, I wonder where the woman will turn next? That guy had better watch his back.
Aaron Lloyd Brummett
Its a good thing they grow back! All joking aside... with a prosthetic... the victim can ask for a larger penis. Its not as bad as it used to be and if they find the original, it could be put back on.
flavorly
I guess I shouldn't be surprised by the number of people here feeling sorry for the guy having his penis cut off, yet I am. You guys do realize that the victim is the guy who was betrayed, right? That's pretty low to have an affair with someone's wife. You'd think being a lawyer, you wouldn't have problems finding women, and that you'd have to resort to having an affair with some young guy's wife. What I don't really understand is why some men attack the other man instead of the wife. Anyway, good for the young man not taking crap. It's certainly a lesson for both the straying wife and the immoral lawyer. Who the heck wants a lawyer who betrays people anyway? How stupid can you get to mess with a boxer too?
Kabukilover
I was being dead serious. Is there any sort of surgical reconstruction available for this sort of mutilation?
nath
Yes, but the betrayer was the wife, who had a commitment to her husband, not the lawyer, who had no commitment to the husband.
peterl
If the lawyer knew the woman was married, then he deserved it. But I'm sure there are so many women who are not honest to their lovers about their marital status, and they don't find out the truth until it's too late. I guess you expect people to get professional background checks on all potential lovers, girlfriends, etc. before sleeping with them.
nath
No. Even if you believe the lawyer bears some responsibility (which as I've mentioned above, I don't believe he does), this is not a deserving punishment. It's way over the top, and the husband deserves life in jail.
Sauron
I'm pretty sure you are wrong. The Japanese penal system does consider adultery a crime. An acquaintance of mine had to pay restitution to the now ex-wife of a guy she was going to marry since he was still technically married to the ex-wife when their relationship started. Another acquaintance demanded (and received) monetary compensation from her ex-fiance when he decided not to go through with the marriage.
As for adultery being neutral under the eyes of the law, even between consenting adults, that's utter nonsense. Why hire private investigators to tail a cheating spouse? Why bring evidence of infidelity during divorce proceedings?

@Strangerland
IMHO,what you think is deserving is besides the point. The point here is that a guy who was doing something he knew he shouldn't, got something bad in return. The moral of the story is not to do the bad thing in the first place. The potential to ruin lives, and the degree to which different people react differently should be deterrent enough.
I hope you're not using your "deserving" calculations as your personal moral compass.
peterl
@Strangerland
Although the reaction of the husband was extreme, the lawyer was wrong to sleep with a married woman, if he did in fact know she was married to begin with. More often than not, those who go out and sleep around with people who are officially still married to others are selfish and think only about their own short-term happiness.

@kabukilover
Esthetically yes, you can make a tube of tissue that will look somewhat like a penis and maybe contain an artificial urethra to help him pee while standing. He may even get some prosthesis in a semi-erection position for his sexual partner but there is no way to restore feelings nor sexual gratification for him. Unless a technical miracle is done in the next few years he will never have sex again.
ironmonkeyz
Hmm. Well in Edo Jidai he would have been justified to kill the guy so long as he killed his wife too...
nath
That's an odd moral to take out of it. The moral I take out of it is don't cut off another man's penis to spite your wife. Because you end up in jail, and without your wife.
I do. Though that doesn't mean I sleep around on my wife (I don't).
Why? He had no obligation to the husband, only the wife had made that vow. The lawyer hadn't made any vow.
The Principle
What a nice lot of jokes here. I can't say I so much as smirked though.
Every here does realize that she was the one who had the affair behind her spouse's back, not him.
But if it had been part of her anatomy cut off I think there would be a deathly serious tone here, don't you?
Mutilations upon people are not funny, regardless of gender or piece cut off. The punishment does not fit the act, which has not even been illegal in quite a while. But some people would secretly cheer as they deliver lukewarm approvals if a shoplifter were executed by a vigilante.
Anyone think the husband being the sort to attack another human being this way might point to a reason why she had an affair? Divorce him you say? Yes, easy to say, cause even though you know what he is capable of, you will never have to face him yourself.
mariat
Sounds like three people in the wrong here: the wife for sleeping with another man, the husband for violently taking out his jealously on another human being, and the lawyer for sleeping with a married woman (and it becomes even worse when we find out he is also married).
Sioux Chef
Having a consensual relationship with a woman, regardless of whether she has committed to another in any way--marriage included--is not wrong on the part of the lawyer; he wronged the husband in no way. The woman is not her husband's property; she is entitled to do what she wants--even if what she wants is to renege on her wedding vows.
FizzBit
Exactly, the crazed man attacked the wrong person.
mariat
But he did wrong his own family. Sorry, but there is nothing good about having an affair with a married person. People get hurt in the process.
The Principle
What doesn't hurt people? If they got divorced people would be hurt. If they continued with a loveless, boring marriage people would be hurt. If they argued constantly about their sexless marriage people would be hurt.
But none of that hurt compares to having one's genitals permanently destroyed.
People are going to get hurt no matter what. So my idea is that we need to stamp out our stupid useless jealousy (which is only us hurting ourselves and driving us to hurt others) and enjoy life. The year is 2015 and sex has never been safer. Primitive emotions such as jealousy may have a help to us in times gone by, keeping us from being too promiscuous. But they are primarily a source of misery today and not helping anyone do anything of importance.
Sioux Chef
Who said he was also married? Not that it is relevant . . .
The Principle said everything else I was going to.
peterl
Everyone is forgetting that what makes the lawyer not blameless in all of this, is that he abused his position of power, as the wife's boss, to go ahead with this affair. Of course, it takes two to tango, and his wife should never have gotten in this situation in the first place. It is for the same reason why I, as a university teacher would never date one of my students.
nath
Not necessarily.
One other point - the article says she worked with him, not for him.
peterl
Actually, this article says neither. However, since she worked as a clerk in his office, and according to the following link about the lawyer, he was one of several lawyers in the office, and in which case, was one of several people who held a higher position than she. Besides, we all know that in Japan, age itself will determine the type of 'senpai-kohai' relationship you have. I've seen time and time again where younger people in a workplace, will always defer to the older one, whether or not they are their direct boss or not.

According to several Twitter accounts and websites, the victim works for a law office in Minato and his family name is Wada. It is also reported that he is married and has four children. I think the true victim in all of this are his wife and children.
nath
Um...

Strangerland:
The article states, "with whom she worked"; not "with whom she worked WITH", as you implied.

That ends discussion on this point.
Félix Lorenzo Martín Moro
he cuts the problem from raw, well done!!
The Principle
I don't where people get these ideas. Its as if the meaning of words means nothing to them.
Occupying a position of power does NOT mean it was abused in order to get a date. If that were true, all policemen would need to be single, because by this measure (which is unfortunately not peterl unique idea) he has power over people, therefore he abused it to get a date or girlfriend. The same would apply to all politicians and you could extend it to all soldiers.
No. Having power and having a lover, by themselves together, does not prove power was abused to get the lover. Saying anything else is like the ultra feminist who insists all sex is in fact rape. Or is it that some people are so inept with females they think the only way to get with them is by force or coercion?
jack o helen
Having a DATE and HAVING SEX with someone are two very different things. So you're saying that it's perfectly fine for doctors to use their power to sleep with any patient they are attracted to.
True, if that lover is not your subordinate or someone of a lower position in the same company you work at. For instance, in a school, teachers going out with fellow teachers are never looked at with disdain. However, it's an entirely different matter when a teacher decides to sleep with a student. To say that they are the same is totally wrong to me. Besides, if this lawyer wanted to sleep with another woman, why didn't he divorce his wife first?
The Principle
Holy moley! Do my words arrive to you over this internet thingy half garbled?? No. Its never okay to abuse power for any reason. Abuse is abuse. Abuse is wrong! Isn't that obvious?? But just because a person wields power does not mean they abused their power to get sex! If a woman likes her boss, so be it. But if a boss says date him or get fired obviously that is wrong and an abuse of power. Do I have to reinvent the English language to get this simple point across?
And no, I don't care what the nature of their relationship is. If two people mutually consent that is all anyone needs to know. They don't need to be "the same" or on the same power level by any definition. We really don't need all these straight jackets just because some paranoid people always fear and imagine the worst.
jack o helen
So let me get this straight, if you had a daughter, and if say your daughter was of the age of consent (age 18) and is consensually sleeping with their teacher who is much older than her, that would be alright with you?
Now in this case with the lawyer and his subordinate, I sincerely doubt he is sleeping with her with the intention of marrying her and being committed to her in the long run. It doesn't take a detective to see that he is using her just for sex. While you think there is nothing legally wrong with this, it is morally wrong to me. Also, while he may or may not be overtly threatening her, it's not easy to refuse someone who could have the influence over whether you keep your job or not, and whether you will have a good reference for the next job or not, if you decide to leave.
The Principle
YES! Its her life! Its his life! No abuse means NO ABUSE! The only time people have any business "having a problem" is when there is abuse. In order to take that scenario and believe you have any say is to believe that she is your property and he is not allowed to touch it. That sort of thinking is a sickness!
SO.....WHAT???? Can't two people just enjoy each other temporarily?
Yes, IT DOES! Maybe he loves her as a human being but is not interested in her as a wife....because....maybe she is not wife material!
And (shocker about to follow) maybe she was using him for sex? Or is no woman capable of that?
patkim
I totally agree. People should be allowed to sleep with anyone they please; it's a free world we live in. Although sleeping with a married person can be like playing Russian roulette and we must accept the consequences that come from it, at least people should have the choice to make it.
Honestly, I would never want to sleep with a married person. Even though this woman's husband was totally wrong for this insane act of violence and will likely go to jail for a long time for his crime, the lawyer will now unfortunately have to live with the results of his choices. It's like walking the streets of east L.A. at night; you're free to do it, but must be aware of the consequences of your actions.
lolozo79
Sounds like the lawyer was a total dick. While I don't condone extramarital affairs, what the husband did was just plain wrong, sick and uncalled-for. Penis envy most likely. Hope he receives the maximum penalty via the penis system.

Zones2surf is peerfectly fine in what he says. I consider him my peer morally, Thanks man. He put woman in quotes, and exhibits strong ethics and high intelligence...
Just to add two cents ( i have not yet read the article as curiousity killed the cat so to speak ( i.e. what kinda sicko comments are gonna materialise now!..)
My two cents are: Marriage is a legal binding contract and extra-marital sex is breaking it ( you see there is even a word for it and it is a legal term...)
So, unless the wife was coerced into having relations and suffered emotionally, she has broken her word and signature on the contract and hubby can now sue her from jail...
Lastly, if she fell in love at the office, both morally and legally, she should have abstained while proceeding to obtain a divorce. Human weakness all round ( blind rage, wrath of god, queen of sheba, etc.)
The Principle
That is an absurd and disgusting notion. No one has the right to force sex on another, nor does one have a right to ensure they never get it (which is what would happen this natural right to one's own body were to happen as people, especially wives, decide to cut the other off).
But for all we know the wife was cutting the husband off for good reason. He may have been violent (surprise huh?) or he may have had a venereal disease. And for all we know she may have been pursuing a divorce for said reasons. And he may have been refusing to grant it. So basically your sexual contract would force her to be sexless for all the time it takes to get a divorce, which could be years! That would be inhuman, and frankly, and idea the idea that marriage is a sexual contract is inhuman.
Marriage is what the two people involved decide it is. But if I were to a choose a default, its for raising children in a stable environment and the only relation sex has is the number of times it takes to make kids and not giving your spouse a disease, and that is about it.
loggediin
don't see why i was quoted above. a contract is a contract is a contract. if she breaks it with no valid ground, say goodbye to the kids, honey ! Law is law. the side having an extra-marital relation does not say "i am divorcing you cause I am having an affair". it is the other way round. the point about the law is that someone can't just give up or call it quits ( i mean go ahead! see where that gets you...) without, that is, suffering the consequences, here i refer to loss of rights for offspring mainly, not to witnessing the dismembership of a beloved...
