A man was arrested Saturday night after driving his car into four people when an argument broke out in front of a snack bar in Himeji City, police said Sunday.

Yasuhiro Kin, a 28-year-old painter, was charged for inflicting bodily harm and fleeing the scene. According to police, at around 10 p.m. Saturday night, Kin drove his car into three male customers standing on the road and a female employee, seriously injuring one of the customers, and drove off.

According to police, Kin and his friend got in an argument with the three men and left the bar just before 10 p.m., but his friend went back and Kin got in his car and drove past the bar.

“They made fun of us. I drove my car into them to help my friend who was in trouble,” Kin said, admitting to the charges.

Yeah, don't take it too seriously...

Sticks and stones will break my bones, and a car is even worse.

I was once told by a Japanese friend of mine NOT to mess around with those painter guys. Sniffing paint thinner all day tends to make them go bonkers. Case and point.

I think this is a deeper social problem. Japanese aren't taught how to deal with stress nor are there any counselors here. With the economy going to hell, people aren't able to cope with the stress and I think we will start to see an increase in incidents like this and other crime. The scary part about it is the police aren't prepared to deal with serious crime either.

Ya, sure got that right!

They say Japan is a safe place to live, however it seems that there is an endless supply of morons lining the street corners hell bent on causing injury to others due to their own pitiful sad little lives.

You reap what you sow! If that is what Japan shows their people, what do you expect them to do?

On the plus side, they're good listeners. They'll gogh the extra mile to lend you an ear.

He took justice into his own hands. Japan you have colossal 'social problem.' You will have to do something about this. All we can read is; crime committed, arrested, and jailed. Amen! Where is a good lawmaker to come forward with some solution to reduce crimes?

The social problem you are all looking for is called A-L-C-O-H-O-L. Its use and abuse are at the root of most of the results of Japan's social ills.

Hit the nail on the head w/ that one, Budda!
