Osaka police have issued an arrest warrant for a 46-year-old man over his suspected involvement in the murder of an acquaintance on Tuesday.
Police said Masami Fujita is wanted for the murder of Ken Okada, 40, after witnesses reported seeing the two in the midst of a quarrel early Tuesday on the street in Naniwa Ward, Fuji TV reported. Okada was found collapsed on the street with knife wounds to his back at around 4:10 a.m. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
On the day before the murder, security cameras captured footage of Okada, banging on the door of Fujita's apartment with a fire extinguisher. At the same time, camera footage also showed someone who police believe was Fujita, jumping from his second floor apartment window and running away from the area.© Japan Today
