Poor soul. - “stabbed outside” or “found bleeding outside? - Not clear details with the 6am story draft to tell if he was assaulted there or, elsewhere and had walked up/been dropped off to the closest place seeking help and arriving employees found him at the store’s opening:

*- “6am: Man fatally stabbed outside drugstore in Nagasaki Prefecture: Police a man died after being found with a knife wound outside a drugstore. Maybe the next iteration or readers of other local sources will have more specific details.

Are pharmacists in Japan incapable of providing basic first aid?

Loss of blood is a very serious and complicated thing that can cost a person's life even under full medical treatment at a hospital. Media makes it look as if putting pressure on the wound would stop the damage and turn back the many different things that have already gone wrong with the victim. Advanced hemorrhagic shock can cause irreversible damage and make impossible to save the victim that dies quickly.

I don't know anything about the location National Route 382, but the report seems to indicate to me that the high way route is a commuter transit area through Japan which leads me to think whoever did this was transiting through the area and could be anywhere in Japan. Just my thought..

Is this a medical opinion?

You can easily find this information by yourself, and again, insinuating that people should not comment because you believe they are or not something is against the rules of the site.

As most living in Japan know, people here will rarely get involved in assisting someone during a medical emergency, other than calling for help.
