A 68-year-old man has been found stabbed to death in his apartment in Kyoto’s Fushimi Ward, police said Sunday.
According to police, the body of the Koji Mino was found at around 3:25 p.m. on Saturday by a woman friend who had not heard from him in awhile, Sankei Shimbun reported.
The woman told police the front door was unlocked and that she found Mino with what looked like a stab wound to his abdomen. The victim was shirtless, police said, adding that he was declared dead at the scene and that there had been considerable bleeding.
Police said there were no signs that the apartment had been ransacked.
Police said Sunday that an autopsy showed Mino had been dead for at least a week.

That sucks

Shirtless and abdominal wound, that sounds more like a ritual suicide, some smaller version of a Seppuku or Harakiri as they sometimes show in historical movies and dramas.

Still, Fushimi is not the best area Tobe in…

It appears someone else had found him when he was alive. Tragic. Too bad his lady friend wasn't there sooner.
