Huh? What are his motives? Addiction to hair cutting? Psychopaths these days have strange behaviors. ◐_o

Being a woman would make this freaky, but as a man (well, male) I wouldn't fight a free haircut.

I don't understand why Japanese people are weird enough to do such eccentric petty crimes such as these. is it because silence breaks them apart??

She operates a bar in Narashino? That would be a hostess snack club. No doubt, this is one of her deprived customers trying to satisfy his twisted jollies.
BigRingo
I know what you're saying, but when you put it like that, it sounds like a place where they serve Twinkies.

"I wouldn't fight a free haircut"
Har!
Seriously, though, another nutter on the loose who needs to be restrained and retrained.
darknuts
Some guys just don't like long hair.

BigRingo - It is called a snack club because of what is on the menu (without fries).

Free hair cut?? Not funny! What if this crazy fool wanted to do more than cut her hair?? Maybe stab her with the scissors?? She is lucky only her hair was cut, I do hope this idiot fool is arrested ASAP!

Sigh. What is it with some people [weird enough] to classify [all] Japanese people as weird and eccentric?
Daijoboots
Actually her dress had a gash in it of about 20cm.
Why don't you do a survey or something? About 120 million copies should suffice.

@IMijjasik
yeah i think its because of the pressure in society 'specially from school, work hours. and like the fact they aren't allowed to voice their opinions or true feelings. that they get nervous breakdowns n they wanna feel what it is to kill in real life cause they get sucked in those video games. lol well these ideas of mine are from documentry i saw on utube: Teenage Japanese Killers.

Another weird fetish !!!!
Maybe he's copying off that guy in Charlie's Angels ( Drew Barrymore version ) & Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle. In both movies a villain likes to cut hair and freaks out when he smells it.

I don't understand it why foreigner people are so weird to think that this is the norm and that compared to other countries in the world it's rather tame in comparison.
combinibento
File this one under "Only in Japan."
Alan
There are sad, weird people in every country.

Anyone else get that weird "Déjà vu" feeling like this has happen before? Oh thats right it was in Full Metal Panic, with the creepy guy hiding in the park wearing a horse head and giving all the girls he attack Ponytails.
Amidalism
I wonder if this guy is friends with the hair licking assailant at the family restaurant the other month. Perhaps they need to start a help group for these people: "Hair lickers and cutters annonyous"

First there's a loony chucking yoghurt at girls, not some psycho assaulting a woman and cutting her hair? I really would hate to be a woman in Japan.
Equality
Am I the only one who doesn't buy this crazy hair-cutting fetish scenario? I would venture that the man was more likely mad at the victim (for spurning his advances, perhaps?) and wanted to get revenge. With the amount of time and energy that some women put into growing and maintaining beautiful hair, he probably thought that a rough hair cut would really upset her.
Funnybonesup
That would have been a hair-razing experience meeting someone like that in the dark on the fringe of society. Its Enough to make your toes curl.
Melissa Wiseman
Creepy! At least it was only her hair and not her life!
Maybe he's a fan of Thin Man From Charlie's Angels...lol
JoeBigs
That describes most men in Japan.

What a bizarre fetish! The woman was lucky only her hair was cut.
