A 44-year-old man was injured after he tried to stop two men breaking into his car in Osaka.

According to police, the incident occurred in the parking lot of a municipal housing complex in Hirano Ward at around 6 a.m. Saturday, local media reported. Police said the man heard his car security alarm go off and rushed outside to see what was happening.

He told police he saw two men trying to break into his car. As he approached them, the pair got into a car. As they started to leave, the man jumped on the hood, trying to get them to stop. The car drove for about 800 meters with the man clinging to the hood.

One of the men inside the car used a tool to strike the man’s hand and he fell off the hood. Police said his injury was not serious.

The two men trying to break into the car are described as being in their 40s and about 175 and 170 cms tall.

Plain stupid reaction.

If at least it had been his car.

I would have just slit his tire with a Samurai Sword...

Best to get a good look at and remember the license no.

Better to get the license plate number and let the buggers drive on off.

This is why we have insurance. Best thing is, get all the information you need from these and call the police, don't try to be Tom Cruise, doesn't always work out like that, I get it, been in that situation myself back in the States, but THIS is JAPAN and it's a lot easier to find a stolen car than in the US.

I would have called the police on this instead of trying to imitate a scene from Terminator. Not worth the injuries and you have all the info on the vehicle anyway. With how efficient J-cops are with police work, the thieves will be found within days unless they have friends in high places.

Take the rego and run a rock through the window. The police will instantly pull over any vehicle with smashed glass and start asking questions . . . . . .

DUMB move jumping on the car's hood makes no sense trying to be a super hero .... Both men were in their 40s, Now you would think by the age of 40 guys would out grow doing stupid crap but I guess these are career criminals or just two stupid guys doing stupid crap. Oh wait they are high paid business executives who are drunk and don't remember a thing....

I would not recomending jumping onto the bonnet of a thugs car, you just dont know if they are violent or not, but I give the bloke a big hand shake and thank him for his actions, most people turn a blind eye to stuff now days as they dont want to get involved.
