A 65-year-old man was attacked by a man with a rubber hammer in a toilet at Tokyo Station on Friday evening.
According to police, the attack took place at around 6 p.m. in a toilet on the B1 floor. Fuji TV quoted police as saying that the suspect, identified as Takanori Hada, 32, hit the man from behind several times with a rubber hammer.
The victim suffered head wounds but his condition is not life-threatening, police said.
Hada was apprehended by station police who said he appeared to be intoxicated. Hada was quoted as saying that he wanted to kill someone and that anyone would do, Fuji reported.© Japan Today
