Police in Tokyo said that a 46-year-old man apparently jumped to his death after fatally stabbing his father at their condominium in Tokyo's Koto Ward on Sunday morning.

According to police, they received a call at about 3 a.m. Sunday from a 73-year-old woman reporting that her husband had been stabbed. TV Asahi reported that police arrived at the 27th-floor apartment of a 47-floor building in Toyosu and found the body of the woman's 77-year-old husband on his bed. He had been stabbed in the chest. Police said he was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead. A bloody knife was found in the kitchen.

At around the same time, police found the body of the couple's 46-year-old son on a roof over the entranceway below. He was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival, police said.

Wow...that's harsh. The woman must be devastated to lose her husband and son.

Often the son and father have heated arguments which result in one or the other's fatal result here in Japan. A sharp tongue can end up with a sharp knife.

Should have just jumped off the building before planning to kill his father.
