Man kills 3 family members, then himself

Police said Friday they have found four dead bodies in an apartment in Kashiwa, Chiba Prefecture, in what is believed to have been a family murder-suicide.

Fuji TV reported that a building manager discovered the bodies of two adults and two children in the apartment at about 2 p.m. on Thursday and informed the police.

According to police, Shino Nonaka, 39, her 12-year-old daughter Ayane and 10-year-old son Junpei were each found lying dead on their futons. Police said all three had bruising on their necks consistent with strangulation.

Shino's husband, Kenji, 43, was found strangled to death by a length of rope attached to a doorknob.

Police say that the apartment had been locked from the inside and that no signs of forced entry could be found, leading them to believe that Kenji Nonaka murdered his family before committing suicide.

There must be a reason or other thing lead to this tragic end , people don,t just snap and kill .the problem with today world is people always look at the surface of problem. it is like doctor treat the patient at the sympton not the cause to prescrip medication won't cure the person. it is a tragedy the ignorance of society on people having physcological problem no way to be help or asshame to get help.

Difficult to strangle three people without them putting up a fight. Makes me wonder if the Mum and Dad strangled one kid each and then Dad strangles Mum and Dad hangs himself on doorknob. All planned out by both parents or just the Dad's idea?

Horrific!! Always Chiba or Saitama..!!! poor kids..

Another case of a man considering other lives to be his property and therefore his to do as he pleases. Scum. You want to break this cycle? Start eliminating the culture that puts the "man of the house" above all others in the house.

Gods, I have no words. As you go through life, DO NOT HARM OTHERS. It's a really good rule.

One can't kill all three people at once

Since his wife and children's bodies were found lying on their futons, perhaps they were asleep when he killed them.

the death of four pple in one family is quite too much..do the current govnt have some strategies to tackle this problem? or are they still bc with problems with neighboring countries..

Again, people rush to judge without establishing the course...

Is there any cause that would make murdering your wife and two young children acceptable and therefore makes peoples judgement of this guy unreasonable?

Actually disillusioned,

According to police, Shino Nonaka, 39, her 12-year-old daughter Ayane and 10-year-old son Junpei were each found lying dead on their futons.

If you drew that conclusion from "her", as yubaru thinks, it's most likely just using "her" and listing "her" children because they were all found dead on their futons, as opposed to the father who hung his loser self from a doornob...

why don't these people just kill themselves? just get life insurance so your family collect on your death.

That must have been a horror story in there... did he murder the mum first then go after the kids? This is horrible. RIP Shino and your children.

Actually Yubaru, the way it reads they were not his kids

Just because it reads "her children"? Instead of of "their" children? I read it as "their" kids, meaning his as well.

Kenji Nonaka murdered his family before committing suicide.

Actually Yubaru, the way it reads they were not his kids, but that is beside the point. I agree with your sentiments.

Where I come from, these kinds of events happen maybe two or three times every four or five years and create huge media, police and even governmental responses, but they seem to occur weekly in Japan and just get swept under the carpet.

Dad....may you rot in the deepest depths of hell for taking your wife and children's lives! No matter how "bad" things are, children of that age should not be paying for the sins of their fathers!

My prayers go out to the wife and kids.

Dad I hope they toss your ashes in a cesspool!

OMG. Rest in peace, all of you.
