Police are looking for a man in his 50s after his mother, who is in her 80s, and his younger sister, in her 50s, were found stabbed to death at their home in Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture, on Tuesday morning.

According to police, they received a call from a man at around 7:30 a.m., saying that his friend had told him that he had killed his mother and sister, Fuji TV reported. Police went to the apartment, which was locked, and found the two women, already dead, from stab wounds.

Police said there was no sign of the son. His friend, who called police, said the missing man had told him that he wanted to die.

an unemployed moocher living at home,

Excellent. It's been a few days since unemployed people were demonised.

Whatever the case; it's another shout out for mental health care facilities to be improved and increased.

stabbed to death? messy. sleeping pills is more better, but seeking help is the best. japanese families need to reach out and find solutions. dementia is a very big problem. the govt has a responsibility to understand the stress its citizens experience.

Just awful. I have never understood how people can take the lives of their family members. We need a better mental health referral system in place.

They'll find him hanging from a tree in a nearby forest. I often wonder, what percentage of suicides in Japan are associated murders.

Sad.....

Either he was an un-cared for mental patient, or he was an unemployed moocher living at home, and his mom told him to get a job.
