Man pushes girlfriend onto train tracks after talk of breakup

Golden rule where I come from: don't stand near train tracks or other dangerous ledges when breaking up with someone.

Breaking up over the phone, by text, or any other type of digital communication might not be a bad idea after all...

I think breaking up on a train platform is pretty bad idea.

Either something like this could happen or the person being dumped could jump and commit suicide.

Saying their final goodbyes on a train platform (often shrouded in fog), kissing farewell, jumping on the train, watching the train disappear with a tear in your eyes is straight Hollywood but doesn't work so well in real life.

Well, maybe if he becomes someone's prison girlfriend he'll understand what it seems she went through. On the bright side, he won't have to worry about breaking up.

Sounds like he hasn't spoken to a lawyer. Either that or simply bad translation / bad reporting. Most likely he admits pushing her onto the track. Admits it could have easily ended in her death. Denies that it was intentional attempt at murder - just poor impulse control with not thought of the consequences. (At least that is what his lawyer will have to argue to try to minimize the sentence.

To the posters writing that women are so picky - would you want to be in a relationship with a person this violent / unstable? I think she hasn't been picky enough!
