A man stole 93,000 yen from a 7-Eleven convenience store in Yoshikawa, Saitama Prefecture, on Tuesday, police said.
According to police, the man entered the store at around 2 a.m. TBS reported that he asked the 22-year-old clerk for a packet of cigarettes. Then he reached over the counter and threatened a second employee with a knife, demanding he open the cash register. The man fled with 93,000 yen.
Police said the two employees in the store were unhurt. The thief is described as being in his 20s, about 170 cms tall and was wearing a black parka and cap.© Japan Today
