Police have arrested a 53-year-old man who broke into a school in Gifu and stole two schoolgirls' gym uniforms.

According to police, the suspect, identified as Koichi Hirose, works at a technical college in Wakayama Prefecture. NTV quoted police as saying that Hirose broke into the high school in Gifu at around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday and stole two uniforms from the changing room in the gym.

Police were alerted after a resident reported seeing a suspicious vehicle parked outside the school for a long time.

Hirose, who was apprehended on the school premises, was quoted by police as saying he wanted to wear a girl's gym uniform.

Walking into a store or using the Internet and buying one was too easy?

It's kind of fetish

This is one sick puppy

I am sure he wanted a soiled one in the dirty laundry basket to make the experience more real. he may even wear it under his suit for kicks.

Wacko !

Strange he did not say he can not remember ...

We have used women under wears vending machine, how about a used school uniform vending machine. What are next, shocks, stocking? There are so much more I can suggest but it not going to be pretty.

Creepy is well, a gross understatement.

It's just making me shiver.....

There are lots of people just like him in the first ten rows of any AKB48 concert.

13 ( +15 / -2 )

OMG I JUST WANT TO THROW UP after reading this.

-8 ( +1 / -9 )

Oh, come on; we've all got our private little kinks.

What a boring world it'd be if everyone insisted on the missionary position in a pitch-black room.

Not condoning the theft, just defending his right to have "special interests". ; )

Yes this is pretty innocent as far as fetishes go. Have to draw the line at breaking and entering though.

was quoted by police as saying he wanted to wear a girl’s gym uniform.

Even so, why would any admit to anything like this? What a wack job!

Good point. Maybe he isnt a wack job. People are quoted by police as saying really strange, embarrassing and unbelievable things all the time.... I wonder why people make these admissions to police that are bound to destroy their lives, careers and social relationships?unless..... ..

Man says he stole schoolgirls' gym uniforms because he wanted to wear them

Should have bought them online like everyone else?

@khulifi

Strange he did not say he can not remember ...

He must have forgotten to say it ! (I wonder if he thought he'd look "cute" in one of the girls' uniforms ?)

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Hmm. You didn't have to steal them... Can get them in shops here.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

I think he wasn't even after the uniforms, he just took them as a fail safe and lied to the police about being a wacko to throw them of the scent (no pun intended). There are many more things in a school worth stealing...

@farmboy

You can find 'used' ones at certain shops too... For a price. IJS

The most common crimes in the neighbourhood of my university is bicycle theft followed by the theft of women's (predominantly female student) underwear.

My guess is that there is felt to be a greater sense of identity between the female and her clothing, such that having the clothing a bit like having the female, and that this correlates with a wide number of other Japanese behaviours showing a greater identification with appearance.

Oh, man~

Urm, what did I just read?...................

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Um 5either he was drunk or that man got issues, with his brain.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Poor guy! He needs help, not a jail cell!

1 ( +3 / -2 )

@Lucabrasi Too right. Spoken like a Brit like myself who is old enough to remember male members of Her Majesty's Government in lingerie with oranges and electric iron cords.

Had they waited a few days, they'd have found a taller figure in the ranks at the gym class...

1 ( +2 / -1 )

His penalty should be to have to wear a schoolgirl uniform 7/24 for a year. And he can only be at home for eight hours per day to sleep. That and he has to work as a waitress, at a bar that's infamous for drunken salarymen, every night.

@Jimizo

The memories come flooding back... yeeuch!

They always catch the street level dealers of used underwear, never the kingpins. I hope this arrest can break open a lead to taking down the whole cartel. No one breaks into a highschool to steal just 2 uniforms... he and whoever took out the contract and bankrolled the operation were surely going after the whole gym supply closet. Thats why he needed the car to take back the whole load to the safehouse. I wouldn't be surprised if this was also an inside job... He works at a college and this was a highschool, coincidence? I think not.

Kim Akimoto - It's kind of fetish.

Yes it is Kim. That's right. It's also kind of weird, disturbing, hilarious... At least he didn't put them on and proceed to deficate in them as he ran around the pool away from the police - like that guy who stole the swimsuits from a girls school a couple years ago. Now THAT GUY knew how to make a headline!

Welcome to Japan. Could have easily bought the used suits from a vending machine, but he took the next easiest step. Glad he got caught. Let him wear the suit in prison for a while.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

Oh well nothing new lots of cross dressers in JP

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Yes this is pretty innocent as far as fetishes go. Have to draw the line at breaking and entering though.

Don't forget theft. If he wants to wear schoolgirl uniforms, he needs to buy them like the families of the schoolgirls do.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Seems like a harmless crackpot. I hope he understands that those uniforms are expensive. They are also hard to take care of. Having that said... I assume these girls are in college. Let's be realistic! College is expensive. I say let him wear the uniforms for like... 50 paso's an hour.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

He could have said something more normal like he planed to start up a used gym uniform recycle shop.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Why didn't he just order one on the internet?

smithinjapanMay. 20, 2014 - 12:23AM JST Welcome to Japan. Could have easily bought the used suits from a vending machine, but he took the next easiest step.

He can't actually "easily buy them in a vending machine", it's been many years since I saw one of those, and even then, those were operated by and located right outside a club with supposedly members of staff donating the merchandise. Those machines are far more well known abroad than locally, besides it doesn't take a genius to see that a setup like that is ripe for abuse, and in the true spirit of free market and entrepreneurship he went straight to the source itself!

Freakazoid!

Solid reasoning.

One word. 'WEIRDO"!!

Koichi really steals? No dignity.
