RIP Baolan sisters.

Their family surname was 陳 (Chen). Baolan was her given name, and probably means "Precious Orchid."

RIP indeed.

RIP Baolan sisters. There are a lot of good people, if not the majority of people, in Japan that feel the same way.....

As much as I would like to avoid yet another such thread, the emanating bloodthirst is overwhelming.

Leave it to their family to decide not a person such as yourself who

will wake up tomorrow and have already forgotten this story.

First of all, deciding that everyone such as ourselves would forget those inhumane proofs of humanity's inferiority is preposterous.

Letting the victims decide on "how to deal" with the culprit is called "lynching". It is an element of savage past and, alas, uncivilized present. The law will be upheld either you like him hanged high or not.

While simply sending him on the death row would seem reasonable choice this time, it never is. Making him live... the rest of his days (I am not so positive that he would get a second chance) in a prison would serve more good to the world. He will be made an example. Unsatisfied people will be calling for his execution, due to the taxes or whatever they feel justified, articles will be written about him, how he keeps doing the same thing day after day in the prison with decades passing. People will hear about him, what he did, and what he got. He will be a manifestation of the word "Pathetic", sustained daily to be displayed as what goes wrong with people. This way, this is not a complete loss. Executing him, ending his life as well? This is not a zero-sum game. Neither a game anymore.

Tragic lives of the sisters. A murderer should be brought to justice.

Daniel Naumoff - I agree.

I believe the death penalty for such

heinous crimes, is the easy way out.

Make it suffer, in a dark room.

There are times that "Death Penalty" has an appropriate ring to it. This is clearly one of them.

I'm a bit surprised they were sisters (and with a brother) since most Han Chinese in China aren't allowed to have more than one child. Maybe the family are long-term residents in Japan? To lose one child is bad enough.

I hope the missing Chinese in Hokkaido is ok. No news yet?

Too little information here in order to draw a conclusion. I hope that the guy gets a fair and unbiased Trial, and if he's not the Guilty person, then the search for truth continues and isn't just shelved.

I bet he's getting the rope, if found guilty... no use in wasting food on such humans.

Death penalty must exist.
