Police in Kobe have arrested a 65-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder after he stabbed a 50-year-old man in an underground shopping area at Kobe Station.
The incident occurred at around 12:30 p.m. Thursday at JR Kobe Station, Kyodo News reported. Police said the suspect, Hisashi Tao, of unknown address, stabbed the victim, a company employee, in the right shoulder with a box cutter, and then fled.
The victim was taken to hospitals where doctors said his wound will take about one week to heal.
Police apprehended Tao on the street not too far away at around 6 p.m.
Police said the two men did not know each other. Tao was quoted by police as saying he got annoyed when the victim looked at him after he discarded a bento box on the floor.

It's that time of year again. As soon as the mercury starts to rise, one’s chances of falling victim to the insanity of one of those countless loons spoiling for trouble goes up a notch. Stay safe people, watch your back at all times.

Well, he was littering. Why shouldn't you be looked at with disapproval?

Bentos and Blades. The Kobe edition.
so the police found him, not too far from the crime, but it took nearly 6 hours to do that?
what was the dude doing? Kicking it on the Ferris wheel in harbor land all that time?
it’s hot, bro. Go to the beach, or the supermarket, or somewhere you can get cooled off.
The last thing anyone wants in this sweltering heat is to get stabbed.
