A 42-year-old man was fatally stabbed after a reported fight among a group of Vietnamese technical intern trainees living in a company dormitory in Nagasaki on Sunday.
Police said a 39-year-old Vietnamese man has been arrested on suspicion of murder, NTV reported.
According to police, a call came in at around 5:10 p.m. reporting that there was a fight going on in the dorm and that one man had been stabbed with a knife. The victim was taken to a hospital where he died about an hour later from multiple knife wounds to his upper body.
Police said the suspect has admitted to the allegation but did not say what the fight was about.
At the time of the incident, there were more than a dozen Vietnamese in the dormitory.

.
The demand for Vietnamese to Japanese interpreters is set to boom in Japan.

Its not healthy for grown men to be living in a dormitory like that. People need time and space to relax by themselves. That situation is a pressure cooker.

Why did I know it would be Vietnamese people?

WA4TKG: "Why did I know it would be Vietnamese people?"
Because the article had the words "foreigners" and "dorm" and you know that Vietnamese are among the most exploited by Japan's labor-trafficking program -- aka, "trainee program".

The victim is Vietnamese.

How does the reader know the suspect is Vietnamese? Third sentence, smithinjapan.
Nothing there, smith.

Why did I know someone would bring up the person's nationality? I'm sure you wouldn't have commented on the person's nationality if he had been Japanese, the nationality of the majority of murderers in this country.

One thing I would like to know. If the call came in at 5:10 what time did the ambulance get there. I’ve heard people would bleed out waiting for one. Wonder when the police arrived also.

From my experience the ambulance usually comes pretty quickly, but then they don't start moving for a long while.

Yes, and I read that many of them are in debt, as they pay around 6,800 USD on average to companies that set up these trainee programs, even though the limit is supposed to be 3,600 USD (which is still a lot for them I'd imagine).

Execute the killer immediately. Life imprisonment without parole and hard labor for his accomplices.

You would presume correctly .!.
Mr Kipling
What? Vietnamese "technical trainees" murdering each other again?
Is anyone keeping tabs on how many this is now? There is a not very well hidden cost to imported labor.

No, the name says it all.
