Though homicide is never justified, some people seem to delight in psychological murder.

I have to agree with JohnGalt on his point. The crime itself is violence, and the weapon is tertiary to motive.

People will do equally brutal acts with whatever means, including bats, golf clubs, pipes, and yes even bronze busts. The point is not to place blame on the object, but on the person's violent outburst. The violent outburst is the crime.

People without an agenda in life are prone to quick agendas when in anger.

One thing that I find unusual about (media-reported) crime in Japan is, how many of the perpetrators are 60+. What's the opposite term of "juvenile delinquent?"

Arguments are fine. I understand things can get heated. What I can't understand is the ever present insecurity of many Japanese males. Seemingly unable to connect the dots, they react to trivial problems with ridiculous things like stabbings over an argument. No person with a healthy dose of self-confidence (or sanity) does such a thing. Perhaps if they all learned to use their mouths and argue like a boss, the stabbings would subside, what do I know?

After working for an extended family.... I understand. Bullying is at all levels.

Seems that it's a trend that anyone carries a knife so that if somebody makes fun of him, he can stab them.

It would apprear this happened right in front of the Fresheness Burger near Shinjuku Gyoen. At 9:am, there wouldn't be much open yet, besides the bank.
